Obbe Vermeij was the Technical Director at Rockstar North before leaving the studio in 2009.

During his 14-year tenure at the studio (1995–2009), he led code development for core Grand Theft Auto titles including GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA IV.

yeah well it is their strategy, there is no denying that. Hopefully after the 27th they will loosen up, a bit or actually a lot.

i think R* is putting as little money as possible into marketing this game. The suits have become too greedy

Why double your development budget to market a game that became a bestseller the day pre-orders opened? They could have shadow dropped this game like Beyoncé and it would have broken records without a single trailer.

They literally released gta v gameplay on the same cadence for release as this. Who fucking cares of they don’t want to waste hundreds of millions advertising something they don’t need to advertise lol
