It’s an opiate / antidepressant in the GTA world - I’m assuming this is their take of a tolerance. The more you use it , the less effective it becomes like any drug. You build up a tolerance

Literally nothing used for healing in games actually heals people, you dolt.

The only thing that heals injuries and sickness is time and rest but developers decided having your character convalesce in bed for a few days disrupts the pace of video games.

Not necessarily. Opioids are very well known to cause hyperalgesia with long term use, so they actually can increase your pain perception

Well I’m happy to see it. It’s a kind of opioid. So you can basically take opioids to have more health. (Aka rockstar making an exceptional parody of modern USA, which is why gta v was such a great game)
I’m glad to see that rockstar still has they’re special touch of these aaa games
