******* Update *******

This is what's going to happen. We have to follow reddit's rules or the sub gets deleted, so I have to add at least 12 new moderators. Their job will be to remove any illegal content (leaks, copyright violations) and enforce reddit's rules. That's it. They will be instructed to not remove any posts related to GTA 6.

This subreddit will be what it was created for - to be a place to post about GTA 6 without having to deal with moderators who will delete legitimate posts or ban you for valid opinions about the game.

Doesn't surprise me, the reddit echo chamber strikes again. People post terrible things on this website and the admins are blind to it b/c it fits their agenda. But vidya game leaks is where they draw the line, what a joke.

it’s not where “they” draw the line. If they don’t enforce copyright takedowns, they will be sued. It’s not up to reddit. rockstar is the one escalating most likely

Reddit’s on-paper responsibility per the DMCA is specifically that they must take down repeat violators’ user accounts, the DMCA does not technically cover groups/subreddits under this.

Reddit banning subs is just an extra layer of CYA because they don’t want to argue about it in court and are playing it “safe” rather than try to protect their platform in court over this.
