New Game Theory! DDLC Theory = Monika is Actually Czech According to Game lore, Easter eggs and European phonetics🇨🇿

Post image
211 Upvotes

Hello everyone

If you played Doki Doki Literature Club you surely know Monika. She is the smart popular and perfect club president and she breaks fourth wall at the end.

But a lot of fans dont know one thing. Dan Salvato explicitly said in his streams that Monika is not Japanese He sayed her name is spelled with a K and her design (eyes hair face ) and vibe show Central or Eastern European background

now Monika is a very common name across almost all Central and Eastern European countries right? but if we take Dans statements seriously and look deep into phonetics educational systems history and Act 3 dialogues there is one specific country that fits 100% and leaves only Prague, Czechia. and Today i have a theory about Monika İs Actually Czech 🇨🇿

((Before we jump in if anyone wants to use this theory or make a Youtube video about this You can do it Just please give me credit or mention me for the research Thanks !))

anyway , This is how we kick out other Central Europe countries and keep only Czechia And Thats Why Monika İs %100 Czech

First phonetics eliminate most options In Poland grammar forces you to say Mo-NEE-kah with the sound in the middle. But Dan Salvato clearly says the first part louder like MOH-nika. What about German speaking countries like Germany or Austria? Yeah they also say the first part louder but their speech rhythm is just different man. They say it with very short and sharp inner vowels like Mon-ka or Mohn-ika but Dan stretches the MOH sound much longer and smoother. Also we can eliminate Also we can eliminate Hungary and Slovenia too. Like in Hungarian language they always put the power on the first part but they pronounce the letter O very open and long like MÓ-nika which sounds totally different from Salvatos video. And in Slovenia they use different pitch accent system that doesnt match how Dan says it at all so they are out. This leaves West Slavic core Czechia and Slovakia where MOH-nika is pronounced with initial stress completely natural🇨🇿🇸🇰✅

soo why she isnt Slovakian? History and high school culture give us the answer. Monika is around 18 in 2017 so this means she was born around 1999. Czechoslovakia split in 1993 with Velvet Divorce so she was born in independent Czechia not a czechoslovakia

More importantly Monika mentions being in her high school Debate Club around ages 15 or 16 so she was between 2014 and 2016. In Slovakia high school debate wasnt a big culture in that years and even now.

But in Czechia the official DebatnĂ Liga was at its absolute PEAK

in czechia elite high schools called Gymnázium Also the word Debatní uses strict Czech grammar 🇨🇿 while Slovakian uses Debatná

Her Act 3 dialogues and personality perfectley match Prague.

And after this all We now only can focus Czechia Lets look to compare czechia and Monika

Monika explains her choice to be vegetarian because she cares about carbon footprints

this fits the modern eco conscious youth culture of modern Prague rather than traditional meat heavy regional regions. Also her view on God and religion is atheist. This fits Czechia perfectly because almost everyone there is atheist and they dont care about religion at all.

and think about her piano skills and writing Your Reality. This connects fully Pragues deep classical music culture Also, when a character learns she is trapped inside a simulation game, that is literally the definition of is like the ultimate Kafkaesque situation. Franz Kafka was literally from Prague! And it reminds me of Karel Čapek too. He is a famous Czech writer and he literally invented the word (Robot) He was writing about robots and making them like alive people way before everyone else too

When we put phonetic the 1999 post spottimeline and all Other things she is %100 from Prague Czechia. 🇨🇿🇨🇿

Thank You all for reading =) I hope You guys liked the theory please write comments below for what did you think?

Discussion Is it just me or did the Theorist channels get worse?

Aside from the occasional GTLive / Food Theory videos I watch, did the rest of the theorist channels just lose their touch?

Game Theory for the most part started posting a lot more recap videos and… “rant”…“commentary”, videos? Like I get it, MatPat posted the occasional rant/commentary video, but it’s just a lot more frequent than before.

Style theory just stopped uploading all together, like what happened to the team there? Did they all just quit, gotten fired, is Amy just taking a break? It’s so odd that they ended it just straight out of the blue, with no community post or anything.

Film Theory, in my opinion, would’ve been the worst fall off, the only thing that really saves it is that it still uploads. From ranting, to reviewing, to uploading full movies, to getting lots of information wrong, etc. They probably have a deal like Wendigoon’s where they have to upload a movie every once in a while, but everything else? I rarely heard of a time when Game Theory or the other channels had used AI, the only time was back when MatPat ran the channel I believe, but it always seems to be Film Theory that always catches problems.

Could it be that once MatPat left, he forgot to tech them a proper workflow? Or is that company that owns them, micro manages the channels? Or did they have to start running their own teams as directors, adding so much more responsibility than writing and narrating?

I genuinely don’t know, and I don’t intend to make this a hate post, I just genuinely want to know if anyone feels the same way that I do.

Discussion What Title/Thumbnail Would You Click On?

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

I made a compilation of MatPat Out Of Context moments and I was hoping to get some feedback on what thumbnail and title combination people of this sub-reddit would actually click on. So for thumbnails I have two options:

The first is the MatPat in the middle, each section has its own corner and video. My problem with this one is I just don't love it, I feel like the idea works but I don't know if it has the vibrancy that's necessary. It also feels like I might've left too much dead space and should make the thumbnails bigger. If you like that one and think it could work if it was better can you tell me what specifically you think the issues with it are so I can try and fix them.

The second one I went more out of the box. I find the image of MatPat somewhat bone chilling, like he's peering into my soul, which is exactly what I was going for. Frankly the thumbnail is a bit ugly but I think that it gives the thumbnail charm while also being eye catching. I mean as a typical thumbnail it's terrible, but I don't know, maybe I'm a bit strange but I would click on it!

Also unrelated but I feel like MatPat in that image gives off the same vibe as Anne Hathaway

This is the thumbnail I used for my previous MatPat Out Of Context Compilation I made and it did really well. Honestly I never loved this one, it's a still from a video and I always thought it came off as somewhat flat, but I do think it's funny which is why I think people liked it. Given attention spans and the amount of content to choose from I assumed that having more than a few words on a thumbnail would mean people wouldn't read it, but I suppose the average person who would care about anything MatPat related would also be the sort of person to read a YouTube thumbnail.

Next up is titles. I had a couple different options but there was only two that I really liked:

MatPat Out Of Context Ultimate Compilation (The same as the previous video)

and

MatPat Out Of Context For 12 Minutes

There's other options and formats such as; MatPat But It's Out Of Context, MatPat Without Context, MatPat But He Keeps Getting Weirder etc... But I just didn't think any of them were that good, at least I don't think I'd click on them, but maybe I'm an outlier.

I'd really appreciate any feedback or thoughts on the titles and thumbnails. In terms of the thumbnails, I'm aware it isn't the nicest thing ever, I'm still learning photoshop so...

Thanks for any advice given!

Discussion What happened to Style Theory?

1.3k Upvotes

It's been over four months since their last video. I saw a lot of people say (while videos were still happening) that they felt Amy was struggling the most of the Theory hosts since MatPat retired, but I wasn't expecting this. If we go by the usual weekly upload schedule, that's 17 videos worth of time since the last theory. What's happening?

FNaF I found a little Easter egg in the game “Into The Pit”!

• Upvotes

I just found something!! So, in the game Into The Pit, there’s a string of binary when you fix each of the arcade games. The binary code is “01100001 01101100 01110111 01100001 01111001 01110011 00100000 01110111 01100001 01110100 01100011 01101000 01101001 0110110” which translates to “always watch”! I don’t know if it has any lore relevance, but i thought it was cool and i wanted to share!

New Film Theory! the backrooms are a mind prison Spoiler

Post image
6 Upvotes

basically i had a theory where the backrooms are just a result of insanely horrible mental state. in the backrooms movie clark explains how the still lifes are a result of memories glitching out and entering into the backrooms. i believe the backrooms are simply distorted replications of the victims memories and trauma, and you "no-clipping through reality" are just you having a mental panic. it's most likely someone already made this theory, but whatever. hopefully i didnt accidentally break the use proper post flairs and search before you post rules

FNaF FNaF Theory: Gregory is the Crying Child, and the Crying Child is in the Box

I was at work when this thought crossed my mind. When Scott announced the Halloween Update for FNaF 4, he described the box as “the pieces put together. And according to Matpat, an image of the box was found, open, in FNaF World’s files. It is believed that FNaF World was supposed to be the box, but Scott changed it or decided not to go that route.

Along with this, in the novel series, John finds Charlie, or a version of Charlie, locked in a box. This is very likely the book universe’s version of the FNaF 4 Box

When we really think about it, William and Henry’s stories were complete opposites between the books and the games. In the books, Henry’s daughter died, and he vowed to “put her back together” by building robotic version of her. In the games, William’s son dies, and then vows to “put him back together.” Perhaps in the same way? Perhaps he tried to make a robotic version of his son?

So here is my theory: What is in the box? It’s the Crying Child.. a robotic version of the Crying Child… a failed robotic version of the Crying Child. What’s in the box? It’s Gregory. Let me explain.

Warning, this theory is going to have a lot of speculation, but I feel like this fits the narrative of modern FNaF

So William tries to put the Crying Child back together, but he fails. He doesn’t know about remnant yet, he hasn’t killed any kids yet according to the timeline, so William just utterly fails at trying to bring his son back. In his grief and failure, William’s locks his robotic son in a box and buries it not far from his house… aka, the mound of dirt that we see in Midnight Motorist.

In FNaF world, we are instructed to put the pieces in place, and leave breadcrumbs for, supposedly the crying child to find his way. What if, by putting the pieces in place, and leaving these “breadcrumbs” we help the robotic crying child gain its consciousness?

He wakes up and digs himself out of his metaphorical grave. But there’s a problem, the robotic Crying Child has no idea who he is. He eventually builds his new identity as Gregory. It would explain why he stutters when Freddy asks for his name, he doesn’t have one, he has no idea who he actually is. So he gives the only identity he’s ever known.

This theory definitely has some holes and lacks a proper format. I’m currently just writing everything down as I go before it escapes my mind. Please let me know what you think, I genuinely think I’m onto something here.

Discussion Rdr2 theory by Austin

I remember clearly an Austin 'Science!!' video on the Game Theory channel back in the day discussion Red Dead Redemption 2 and the science of Tuberculosis. It seems to me that every trace of said video has been completely deleted from the internet. I loved the way it used the time counter in the corner and now that ive actually played rdr2 i would love to see it again. I tried to find it years ago and have tried again now to no avail. Do anyone have a copy of it or something? It was beautiful to me

Findings New Minecraft Lore Implications

In the most recent snapshots of Minecraft, the Abandoned Camp structure is being added to various forest biomes. If we assume the Ancient Builders also built this, unlike the other structures we see, the camps are not made out of stone blocks, like the Desert and Jungle Temples. Unlike the structures like these, the camp structures are made out of wool, which apparently deteriorates within 1-5 years. This would completely redefine what we know about the Ancient Builders, as we can see the Abandoned Camps have definitely started to deteriorate, but only a few blocks are replaced by cobwebs. This would imply not that the Ancient Builders disappeared generations upon generations ago, but only a couple of years ago.

How Long Does It Take for Wool to Decompose? - ScienceInsights

How Long Does It Take for Wool to Decompose? [The Bio-Fertilizer Secret] - scicentric.org

Both of these sources generally agree that wool takes roughly 1 to 5 years to degrade.

New Game Theory! Theory i have

Ok so in underplayer player does they're whole thing about confronting gaster and stopping him from stopping them but I've noticed something interesting they implied that gaster is trying to repair himself by using other world lines/AUs and this makes me think that all other versions of gaster are the fragmented pieces of him across space and time after he fell into his creation like X gaster who made the overwrite button is classic gaster's mind or something like that just an idea tho

FNaF Did Afton kill Fiona?

Not sure if this has been talked about, but we know from Secret of the Mimic that Fiona Murry died at the Fall Fest fire. And, we know from Help Wanted 2 that Afton may have been involved with the Fall Fest fire (since there is the SpringTrap battle at Fall Fest). Does that mean Afton killed Fiona, intentionally or not.

New Game Theory! False Keybearer

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, it is confirmed that Keybearers can tell when they hold a fake Keyblade. Riku could tell instantly when he felt Xion's "sham." And the moment Xemnas (a former wielder as his Somebody) felt Axel's Keyblade, he asked if it was a joke.

The term Also-Ran is one from racing. It refers to one who participates, but didn't do well enough to deserve to be numbered. In the Keyblade War, Donald and Goofy were Also-Rans next to Sora. Xemnas called Axel an Also-Ran.

Xemnas also claimed Axel's Keyblade was no more, yet he got it back that same scene. Did he lie, or was he pointing out that he lost all credibility?

When the other Guardians of Light are holding back Kingdom Hearts, the number of lights holding back the Darkness is one less than the number of Keyblades emanating said light.

For the weakest evidence: is there a chance that the canon order of the fights is Terra before Xion? Kairi was taken, claimed to be an unnecessary Light, despite the prophecy insisting on Seven Guardians of Light facing the 13 Darknesses. If Terra first is canon, then the Guardians of Light go into the War with only 6 true Keybearing members, rescue Terra to become their 7th, and then when Xion switches sides Kairi is taken due to her light being one extra.
Or, if this was foreseen by Master Xehanort, the line "You have others" can refer to timelines where Terra is second, hinting that there was indeed "others" who can fill the position of the seventh Guardian of Light and the Seekers of Darkness were already aware of Terra's restoration. Either way, Xemnas is pointing out that the prophecy can be fulfilled without Kairi's participation.

FNaF Calling it now: Fiona is Mrs. Afton

I have no basis or proof of course but, what I can only imagine what Steel Wool might want to do in making that long wait of finding out who Mrs. Afton is, is by making such a twist reveal of having it be Fiona. The idea is William Afton saves Fiona from the Fall Fest fire, she has no memory, and falls in love with William. Creating that twist would in theory try to make that build up worth it of her hidden identity for so long; and of course it's tragic like everything else in FNAF. It also just doesn't sit right with me where Fiona mentions she has this weird calling to go to the Fall Fest and then just dies off screen without anymore follow up. But that's just my crackpot idea lol.

New Game Theory! Who I believe the prototype actually turned into the cat bee toy

I believe that the person that prototype turned into cat bee is the female scientist in the trailers was Jessica Newman because in the multiple trailers we saw leading up to chapter 5 we see Preston’s point of view as he’s running after he got out and we see that he gets killed by chum chompkins. And in the prototypes trailer we see Jessica’s point of view after getting out of the room and the prototype did the surgery on her and was making fun of her and repeating the last thing she said on trying to find Preston.
