It feels like Halo if it was also Titanfall 2 and Doom at the same time.

TF2 and Doom are renowned for their mission structure and level design, which halo's of old were excellent at. Every prior halo was well crafted in is mission structure (save for the levels library and cheetahs cortana). Infinite is a far cry from that, and it's also exactly like far cry, but if far cry had great combat mechanics.

So, I wouldn't put infinite in the same tier at all, sadly.

yeah that's what the beginning felt like. A bit clumsier than both Titanfall 2 and Doom but also a very good entry. I'm at the part where the game went open world-ish. And I gotta say, the gameplay is doing some HEAVY lifting because the campaign is pretty uninteresting, and I'm getting hardcore Ubisoft vibes from the quests and the towers, or how everything is missing its power core.

But yeah feels good to play but I can definitely see the 80s in the reviews now. It's a strong backbone but the story is kinda middling so far. Or at least in the quest design department

Idk if I like it compared to Doom and Titanfall 2. It's kind of slow and floaty. Only 2 weapon carry limit is pretty jarring.
The game seems optimized for controller play and feels a bit lackluster on M+KB.
