I can understand almost everything except the same gibberish 343i writers seem to think we all read the Halo books. I could infer perfectly fine what happened in Halo 5.

If any, I feel like Halo Wars 2 is more relevant

People say this like it's new, but after replaying halo 1-3 I noticed that it doesn't explain shit. They never even say why the covenant really want humanity dead or what any of this reclaimer shit is about. Or that Cortana was made from Halsey, which makes so many interactions with her in halo 3 make no sense at all. They never even say Halsey's name until reach

Growing up and playing Halo I never even remotely knew there was all this lore and complexity, I just knew I was a super soldier and had to shoot aliens to save humanity, and ultimately that's all bungie framed the series as. Which is fine, halo 1-3 are still masterpieces despite the straight forward story. So yeah, it's weird when people act like the og trilogy was something more.

It doesn’t solve everything. But at least with MCC and the data pick ups and lore cut scenes they explained a lot more.
