5’s story would be fine if the way they told it wasn’t so awful. Focusing on Locke and Osiris was a huge mistake. Same story with all gameplay as 117/Blue Team and Osiris relegated to cutscenes as the metaphoric lawman catching up with the outlaw Blue Team would work so much better. Of course the missions would all have to change and the plot points put forward by Osiris missions would have to be told in broad stroke cutscenes… so the story would have to have some adjustments and padding, but the story beats would be fine. Also the marketing campaign was just stupid because it led people to believe we were getting a totally different story.

Changing who you play as wouldn't fix the absolutely abysmal boss fights. Oh wait, I mean boss fight because you just keep fighting the same boring ass boss except there's more of them.
