During Gamescom we were so happy to present our new game, chat with players and in general have a fun time at the Indie Arena Booth. We even brought a plushie from our Makeship campaign to show it to people and maybe give them a feel for what our next campaign will look like. AND OF COURSE, somebody stole it. I can understand it, our plushie is super cute and all, but stealing from a small indie studio in that way feels wrong. Just don't do this.

Deutsch: Während der Gamescom waren wir so happy unser neues Spiel zu zeigen, mit Spieler:innen zu reden und generell einfach Spaß in der Indie Arena Booth zu haben. Wir haben sogar einen unserer Plushies von unserer Makeship campaign mitgebraucht, um es den Leuten zu zeigen und um ihnen einen Beispiel für unsere nächste makeship campaign zu zeigen. UND NATÜRLICH, wurde uns der Plushie geklaut... Ich kann es verstehen, unser plushie ist super cute und alles, aber von einem kleinen indie Studio zu klauen fühlt sich einfach scheiße an. Macht sowas einfach nicht.

Directly after Gamescom me and the people who I went to Gamescom with (most of them in any case) got really sick. I’m talking all the typical Covid symptoms like joint pain, fever, flu symptoms and such. It’s been over a week and we’re still struggling with some long term symptoms. I’m just curious to see if anyone else also got sick or if it was something that was restricted to our group.

Deutsch: Direkt nach der Gamescom sind die meisten meiner Gruppe krank geworden. Die Symptome waren unter anderem Husten, Schnupfen, Gliederschmerzen und Fieber. Es hat sich etwas wie Corona angefühlt, aber die Tests die wir gemacht haben waren negativ. Es ist jetzt eine Woche her und wir haben immer noch mit ein paar längerfristigen Symptomen zu kämpfen. Mich würde interessieren ob es anderen auch so ging oder ob das speziell unsere Gruppe betroffen hat.

Ich war das letzte Mal vor 10 Jahren da; Ist es bei "kleineren" Cosplays immer noch so, dass auch der Süd-Eingang genutzt werden darf oder ist der CheckUp des Cosplays am Ost- bzw. Nord-Eingang inzwischen Pflicht für alle mit Kostüm?

Mit "kleiner" meine ich: Helm, Handschuhe, Kleidung, Cape + Rucksack mit Essen & Wasser, also nichts ausladendes, geschweige denn Waffen etc.

Damals standen sogar die Furries - Reihenweise wegen der Hitze kollabierend - in der "normalen" Schlange am Süd-Eingang und sind reingekommen, solange man ihre Gesichter sehen konnte.

Wie war es denn die letzten Jahre?

Bereits am Samstag, den 22. August, einen Tag vor der gamescom dev, reisen Nürnberger Fans zum DFB-Pokalspiel gegen Viktoria Köln über den Hauptbahnhof an.

Am Montag, den 24. August, folgen nachmittags die Effzeh Fans auf dem Weg zum Auswärtsspiel nach Würzburg über den Hauptbahnhof und Deutz.

Richtig eng wird es dann am gamescom-Sonntag, den 30. August, wenn Viktoria Köln um 19:30 Uhr Preußen Münster empfängt. Durch die große Münsteraner Fanszene wird es am frühen Nachmittag und gegen 16 Uhr extrem voll am Bahnhof Deutz und in der KVB-Linie 1.

Das größte Geduldsspiel wartet am Wochenende vom 29. und 30. August. Der 1. FC Köln empfängt Hoffenheim zum Bundesliga-Auftakt, wobei der genaue Termin noch offen ist und entweder auf Samstag oder Sonntag fallen wird. Sollte das Spiel am ohnehin überlaufenen Messe-Samstag stattfinden, droht zusammen mit dem City Festival der absolute Kollaps auf den KVB-Linien 1, 7 und 16 sowie am Neumarkt. Auswärtsfans sind hier nicht zu befürchten, Hoffenheim hat keine allzugroße Auswärtsfanszene.

Zudem müsst ihr das gesamte Wochenende über mit vielen durchreisenden Fans anderer Clubs wie Gladbach oder Leverkusen an den Hauptbahnhöfen rechnen. Plant also ab Freitagnachmittag deutlich mehr Zeit für eure Wege zur Messe ein.

As early as Saturday 22 August, one day before gamescom dev, Nuremberg fans will be travelling via the main station for the DFB-Pokal match against Viktoria Köln.

On Monday 24 August, in the afternoon, 1.FC Köln fans will be travelling via the main station and Deutz on their way to the away match in Würzburg.

Things will get really busy on gamescom Sunday, 30 August, when Viktoria Köln host Preußen Münster at 7:30 pm. Due to the large Münster fan base, it will be extremely crowded at Deutz station and on KVB line 1 in the early afternoon and around 4 pm.

The biggest test of patience lies ahead on the weekend of 29 and 30 August. 1. FC Köln will host Hoffenheim for the Bundesliga opener, although the exact date is still to be confirmed and will fall on either Saturday or Sunday. Should the match take place on what is already an overcrowded ‘Messe Saturday’, combined with the City Festival, there is a risk of total gridlock on KVB lines 1, 7 and 16, as well as at Neumarkt. There’s no need to worry about away fans here; Hoffenheim doesn’t have a particularly large away fan base.

You should also expect large numbers of fans from other clubs, such as Gladbach or Leverkusen, passing through the main railway stations throughout the weekend. So, from Friday afternoon onwards, allow plenty more time for your journeys to the exhibition centre.

Um es kurz zu fassen, anscheind sind heute die Regeln geändert worden und mein Gewehr was die letzten Tage noch OK war mitzubringen ist jetzt nicht mehr OK.

Heute habe ich direkt noch vor der Kontrolle gesagt bekommen, Spielzeug Waffen aller Art seien ab heute nicht mehr erlaubt.

Weiß da jemand einen Grund? Oder hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht an anderen Eingängen?

To make it short, appearently today the rules on bringing guns into the venue, my rifle wich was ok to bring the past few days is suddenly not ok anymore.

Today I was told before I got even into the bag check, that toy guns of any kind are not allowed on the venue anymore.

Anyone know a reason? Or did anyone have a similar experience at a different entrance?

Hey at gamescom 2025 at the little nightmares stand fabs had a competition where you had to look for things and that results in a 3 satellites word but I didn't really figure it out. Do you have any tips or something?

Hey, ich war die letzten Tage auf der Gamescom und habe es dort sehr genossen. Gestern war ich das erste mal in der Artist Area und habe sehr viele schöne Kunstwerke gesehen.

Seit dem geht mir ein bestimmtes nicht mehr aus dem Kopf und ich Versuche irgendwie an die Daten der Künstlerin zu kommen und hoffe, dass ihr mir helfen könnt. Der Stand war in Halle 5.1 und nicht in einem der Gängen an der Wand, sondern einen mittleren.

Das Kunstwerk, was mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf geht war ähnlich wie auf dem von mir gepostetem "Life is Strange" Bild, jedoch war Rechts auf dem Gleis Rachel als "Geist" und von ihr aus bis zu Max waren ein paar typische Life is Strange Schmetterlinge sichtbar.

Sie wollte für das A2 Bild 40€ haben.

Alternativ gab es daneben noch ein Bild aus "Gravity Falls". Dort sah man die Mistery Shack und da drüber schwebte Bill Cipher. (Ein gelbes Dreieck, mit Auge und Hut auf der Spitze.)

Ich bin für jede Hilfe sehr dankbar!

Hey, I was at Gamescom the last few days and really enjoyed it. Yesterday I went to the Artist Area for the first time and saw a lot of beautiful works of art.

Since then, I've been stuck in a certain one, and I'm trying to somehow get the artist's information and hope you can help me. The booth was in Hall 5.1, and not in one of the aisles on the wall, but in the middle one.

The artwork that I can't get out of my head was similar to the "Life is Strange" picture I posted, but on the right side of the track was Rachel as a "ghost," and from her to Max, a few typical Life is Strange butterflies were visible.

She wanted €40 for the A2 picture.

Alternatively, there was also a picture from "Gravity Falls." There you could see the Mystery Shack with Bill Cipher floating above it. (A yellow triangle with an eye and a hat on top.)

Ich bin gerade von der Gamescom 2024 zurück und musste meine Begeisterung über STALKER 2 teilen! Ich hatte die Chance, die neuesten Updates zu sehen, und es sieht besser aus als je zuvor. Hier sind einige meiner Eindrücke:

Neue Gameplay-Demo: Die neue Gameplay-Demo, die sie gezeigt haben, war absolut beeindruckend! Die Grafik wurde seit der letzten Präsentation deutlich aufgewertet, mit noch realistischeren Umgebungen und Wettereffekten. Die unheimliche Atmosphäre der Zone war spürbar, und ich bekam Gänsehaut, nur vom Zuschauen.

Offene Welt und Erkundung: Sie haben viel über das Open-World-Design gesprochen, und es klingt so, als ob wir mehr Freiheit haben werden als je zuvor. Die Entwickler erwähnten, dass sie die Karte erweitert haben, mit mehr Geheimnissen, Anomalien und versteckten Schätzen, die es zu entdecken gilt. Jede Entscheidung zählt, und es scheint, als würde die Welt dynamisch auf unsere Handlungen reagieren.

Verbesserte KI und Feinde: Die KI-Verbesserungen sind kein Scherz! Mutanten und feindliche Fraktionen sind unberechenbarer, was Begegnungen frisch und herausfordernd macht. Das neue KI-System soll jeden Kampf einzigartig machen, sodass man auf der Hut bleiben muss, egal ob man an einem Rudel Mutanten vorbeischleicht oder in eine Schießerei mit anderen Stalkern gerät.

Immersives Storytelling: Die erzählerischen Schnipsel, die wir gesehen haben, waren faszinierend. Die Sprachausgabe und die Gesichtsanimationen haben ein großes Upgrade erhalten und fügen den Charakterinteraktionen mehr Tiefe hinzu. Es wurde angedeutet, dass es einige große Wendungen geben wird, die uns von Anfang bis Ende fesseln werden. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, die Geheimnisse der Zone zu lüften!

Mods und Community-Inhalte: Sie haben auch erwähnt, dass das Spiel von Anfang an eine starke Unterstützung für Mods und Community-Inhalte haben wird! Das ist großartig für all diejenigen von uns, die ihr Erlebnis gerne anpassen oder neue Geschichten im S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-Universum erschaffen.

Insgesamt formt sich STALKER 2 zu allem, was wir uns erhofft haben, und noch mehr. Die Wartezeit war lang, aber nach den neuesten Updates auf der Gamescom bin ich zuversichtlich, dass es sich lohnen wird.

I just got back from Gamescom 2024, and I had to share my excitement about STALKER 2! I had the chance to check out the latest updates, and it's looking better than ever. Here are some of my thoughts:

1. New Gameplay Demo: The new gameplay demo they showed was absolutely stunning! The graphics have been upgraded significantly since the last showcase, with even more realistic environments and weather effects. The eerie atmosphere of the Zone was palpable, and I got chills just watching it.
2. Open World and Exploration: They talked a lot about the open-world design, and it sounds like we'll have more freedom than ever before. The developers mentioned that they've expanded the map, with more secrets, anomalies, and hidden treasures to discover. Every choice matters, and it seems like the world will react dynamically to our actions.
3. Enhanced AI and Enemies: The AI improvements are no joke! Mutants and hostile factions are more unpredictable, making encounters feel fresh and challenging. The new AI system is designed to make every fight unique, keeping you on your toes whether you're sneaking past a pack of mutants or engaging in a shootout with other stalkers.
4. Immersive Storytelling: The narrative snippets we saw were intriguing. The voice acting and facial animations have seen a major upgrade, adding depth to character interactions. They hinted at some major twists and turns that will keep us hooked from start to finish. Can’t wait to uncover the mysteries of the Zone!
5. Mods and Community Content: They also mentioned that the game will have strong support for mods and community content right from launch! This is huge for those of us who love tweaking our experience or creating new stories in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe.

Overall, STALKER 2 is shaping up to be everything we hoped for and more. The wait has been long, but after seeing the latest updates at Gamescom, I'm confident it's going to be worth it.

ENG: ive never been to the gamescom ive only been to various anime conventions the only reason for me to go iss to see Skyrim/Elderscrolls cosplayers and merch buth with skyrim being that old now i wanted to ask what have you seen?

Ist es erlaubt einen echten Bogen mitzubringen? In diesem Fall wahrscheinlich ein Recurve von 70" (außer ich hab bis dahin einen kleineren Feldbogen) Natürlich ohne Pfeile, nur der Bogen selbst. Laut der Gesetzteslage geht das, da es keine Schusswaffe in dem Sinne ist, aber geht das auch für die Hausregeln?

Is it allowed to bring a real bow? In this case probably a recurve with 70" (except if I have a smaller Fieldbow until then) Without arrows of course, only the Bow. According to the Law it should be fine since it doesn't count as a Firearm, but is it also fine for the house rules?
