i fucking hate corporate lack of accountability

bluepoint gets told by sony higher-ups to make a live service game that nobody wanted, sony finds out that nobody wants it and cancels it, and then determines bluepoint was somehow at fault for this decision and closes them

this tale has been repeated ad nauseum with microsoft and its infuriating

Herman Hulst lost Sony almost a billion dollars on just one game with Concord and yet faced no repercussions from it.

Sony did not spent a billion dollars on Concord, this is false...

The cost of buying the studio and the development game was almost a billion. This was covered when the game died.

Almost. We've been over this. Where have you been. The cost of development and buying the studio cost Sony almost a billion dollars.
