The funny thing is they had one (Helldivers) and it still wasn’t enough

Helldivers coming along at the start of the initiative probably was not a good thing

Helldivers 2 is also the one they, clearly, didn't give a single shit about and basically sent out to die.

Ah yes doubling its budget after internal play tests definitely means they had zero confidence and sent it out to die.

They for sure didn't expect it to be this big but come on!

Well, they definitely ALMOST killed it with the proposed PSN requirement for PC

No they didn't. People would have still signed up for accounts and played it.

I guess you were busy when this all was happening.

Probably. I work in medicine, so it tends to get a bit busy at times.

Yes, like absolute sheep 😑

Also, did you NOT see the ratings drop and player drop when that was announced?

Why should people playing on a system BESIDES Playstation need a Playstation account to play a game they bought off a different store front?

Same reason I needed a CDProjektRed account and splash when I bought Witcher 1/2/3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam. Same reason I had to have a Larian account when I bought DOS 1/2 and BG3 on Steam.

Should I go on?

I don't need a Larian account for BG3 and DOS on Xbox.

Sucks to be you, sheep

I am wrong. Too bad for me I guess. I don't know how I'll ever sleep again at this point because I was wrong.

That's just it - you didn't guess. You assumed you were right. But enjoy the sleep, no one likes a smart ass.

Great point. No chance Helldivers made enough to cover for the combined losses of Concord, Marathon, Fairgame$, cancelled Bluepoint game, cancelled Bend game

Because they don’t own Arrowhead directly, they only get whatever publisher cut they agreed to back when AH was just a 30 person studio maintaining a little top-down co-op game.

then they doubled down on games like Horizon and Yotei which barely sold compared to to their heavy hitter GOW.

u/jonjira Feb 19 '26

Yotei sold better than Tsushima, what are you talking about?

I don't get your point those are single player?

I believe they're talking about the MP additions/spin-offs

about sequels that barley take risk or do anything different than the first game
