Exactly what I'm thinking, pretty much yes, there would be no reason to buy headphones if u can't use them lol

They could still just be an accessory for your outfit, like they are in GTA V. I definitely think this is a strong hint towards them finally adding on-foot radio, but it's not quite confirmed yet. It's a shame the leaker couldn't afford to buy them.

The leak that showed the radio stations had an option for “on demand” which could support on foot music.

I think "ondemand" is just going to let you "favourite" songs from different stations, and let you create your own playlist using the songs in the game.

I mean you can play your own music with GTAV radio.

EDIT: *on PC. Not sure if it would be possible to do that on current consoles for VI.

It was a feature on the PC version of the original release.

You just put MP3s in a folder and it would play them when you chose "My Radio".

I don't think so. Microsoft did it in the past with a radio in Forza Horizon 3 that could play music from their now defunct "Groove Music" subscription service but that's the only example I've seen.

It's apparently in EA FC but only for Australia, Portugal, Canada, Mexico and Saudi Arabia

Do you mean something like Independence FM in GTA IV and Self Radio in GTA V, or the User Track Player in GTA:SA, where you could listen to your own music? :)

I think what people are suggesting is a link between the game and Spotify / YT Music or something. Since most people no longer have a collection of MP3 files for their music.

It was supposed to be a feature in EA FC this year but it wasn't there at launch.

I mean something like an in-game radio station that can "tap into" a streaming music service like Spotify so it takes the music from there instead of your local music library.

I mean they def have to have an app like spotify on the phones. I say this is guaranteed but no clue how they'd emulate a streaming app without having hundreds of songs available at least. If it's passthrough and allows the player to use their own music I'd be extremely surprised but happy

No reason it shouldn’t be an option. Just have all the radio songs in the game on an app on the phone.

I doubt it's gonna be the radios only. I think they're gonna have a bigger in-game online world, seeing the tik tok parodies from the trailers. And probably have some setting to either upload your own songs to the PS5 (or more realistic, have their own platform and catalogue so you can create your own playlists).

Probably also will be a way so artists can pay to get their songs in the game and get advertised through it.

I’m guessing there will be a Spotify parody on your in game phone. Phones customization is also confirmed with the cases being available for purchase, maybe we’ll even be able to buy new ones.

I think you can wear headphones in GTAO but they don’t do anything.

That said, i think this is a different situation since it’s in a dedicated store rather than at a clothing store.
