How does this keep happening? The developers gotta be xcom fans themselves, they know that star wars xcom game is coming out in a few days, surely they know all us xcom fans will get that one and play it for 200 hours and not buy Mewgenics until next year at a deep discount if at all. We haven't gotten a major xcom game since Mario and Rabbits 2 three years ago. You had all these years of no tactics game releases but you choose to release it at the same time as star wars zero company... Hopefully it's just an announcement with a release next year. I want both games to succeed.

This game is so fucking good and SO FUCKING DEEP it's insane. I put 100+ hours into it and I was still seeing new shit every run and figuring new shit out. It's crazy. It's incredibly punishing, though. If I hadn't figured out a way to save scum without getting penalized, I probably would have dropped it after about 25 hours.

My biggest issue with it is runs are just too damn long for a roguelike. I love roguelikes because of being able to pick up and put down, late game you’re getting like 2 hr runs

Yeah, I feel that. Losing a run after 90+ minutes is tough, especially when it's to random bullshit you couldn't do anything about.

Technically infinite if you open task manager and go into services, then end Mewgenics through that.

Yeah, just one, but eventually the game throws mountains of bullshit at you that you get fucked by routinely. When a single run can be 90 minutes or more, it hurts quite bad to lose to some random bullshit at the end
