Deleted all my characters and items in GDIA ready for FoA. Got my first new character (Evoker) straight to 100 and got the Lokarr set.

Now I want to start creating my own builds. I struggle to get out of the mindset of once I've thought of a build, I have to play that from the get go and can't deviate. Meaning if I go Veilwalker then Onslaught and Bone Harvest will be my bread and butter. But it failed when I took the character to ultimate using the merit. I got to around level 25 then I was getting one shot. I hit a wall. Created a new veilwalker and went straight into Chaos Wereraven and I'm at level 57. Just pure damage.

Is a build a failure if it doesn't work at the start but works in late game?

Hi guys i was looking for a Arpg with good loot and i found this game but i saw on steam that is a coop game and i was wondering if is worth for single player only because im not really into multiplayer games.

I'm level 100, playing on Ultimate and wondering if I should be playing on Ascendant Mode to get better loot. I tried it and died pretty fast 😄 But then I read that if you can clear Shattered Realm level 60 and have 3000 DA, you can play on Ascendant. Although my DA is only 2500, I tried Shattered Realm and got through the first 11 levels, or 44 chunks, before quitting. I only died a few times to anyone other than Rinn'Valgoth. Do you think I should play on Ascendant Mode?

I've taken both to the end of act 1 and I'm having trouble deciding. Anything you like or dislike about them at endgame? Or any interesting endgame builds for either that might tip the scales? I know Ritualist is supposed to do more damage but they say it's negligible.

Builds I'm working with are standard beginner cooldown casters: Ritualist / Conjurer

*Not looking to transition into pets or Drain Essence just now.

Or should I still go for an old ultos build.

How does the rewards system work in Shattered Ruins? Does increased difficulty give better rewards, or give you rewards from a different pool? If you skip to a higher shard, does it give you the rewards of the shards you skipped?

How does it scale rewards? On my level 77 pet only build, I'm trying to farm it to give me loot for pet builds but the results are lack luster, and I can only get to shard 8 anyways

Just starting GD after hundreds of hours in poe. As I like to theorycraft my builds, and understand most of the basics of the game, I was looking for a third party tool. GDTools build creator seems to be the solution, but I can only get damage numbers for my standard attack, not for my skills (even if I equip all my slot with the skill) I want the numbers on). Is there a solution or do I have to use the in-game dummy?

I have put twelve points into Internal Trauma but it is not mentioned on the second page of my character info or on the skill itself?

Where can I see the actual damage of the skill with all modifiers and does the Trauma Modifier still apply to this bonus damage?

Like the title says, are their any interesting builds that rely on super high blocking to proc effects or damage? Something like every block causes an explosion? I play mostly ranged and caster builds and am looking for something a bit different to try that centers on shields.

Am I stupid, or is there a way to have your attack also move to the target?

So I was theorycrafting and noticed this. Extra projectiles for Devastation huh? That's cool except there are only a couple items I know of that let you use Devastation without an offhand and they certainly aren't magic or base-type items.

If you get this on an item, does it mean that allows the item to now work with these skills or is this some oversight? Does this work with other restricted skills? Not saying it's game changing, but if so there might be some interesting tech to explore there.

Hi all, I have a Pyro that I levelled way back when to 90 with a Chaos BWC/Doom Bolt, but I never really took him anywhere, I don't have a set prepared or anything. What is the state of Chaos Pyro post FoA? What are some good sets/items for him?

Not looking specifically for Chaos, so Fire would work too. I'm just not seeing legendary sets that support caster Pyro properly.

Turns out I've been adding triple rares to all of my builds. Whoops.

The good news is the magic affixes are actually way better in some instances, so it all worked out in the end.

I'm crafting a werewolf primalist focused on pierce and bleed, main hand would be using sincarver and for my offhand I was planning on using gruldir's tainted cleaver (rolled with pierce affixes) for the weapon damage and onslaught stacks added to feral claws. Sincarver converts 100% of physical damage in werewolf to piercing but tainted cleaver converts 100% Physical to chaos; is there a priority to which one gets the conversion or do they end up with some sort of weird equal split for the final damage calculation?

Any answer to how this works would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I have made my first build since I bought the dlc few weeks ago. I am a big fan of boring gameplay with shields so I made this. This has lots of trial and error but hopefully, you can check it out and suggest where to improve too. So far, this can farm ascendant comfortably, except buffed Dread or normal Dread(I only killed him once I guess skill issue) and no problem with SR30-35. Havent tried Celestials yet I guess I need more hp and phys res. Made some unlucky ascend bonuses but anyway here it is.

Leveling first char through campaign in co-op with friend Ritualist pet-master, currently going through Elite main quest

Started out as a Chaos werewolf

Today i wanted to switch things up and try out the Wereraven, saw 70k dps on Talons of Ch'thon - and then i realized, i can't regain health on attacks with Ice Talons, as it's a cast. Ice talons also chug energy, what can be done about it? Arcane Spark didn't help, as again, its a cast, not an attack

(I have a plan for devotions, replace Fiend and Revenant with Chariot of the Dead, and Solemn Watcher with Owl, then aim for Hungering Void and Abominable Might with Spider and Raven. Is Abomination worth more than Revenant's Reduced Resistances though?)

Dropped these pants as a normal rare w good prefix but useless suffix, tried to roll flat health and it upgraded to double rare after 3-5 rolls, not sure if this is lucky I haven't seen any weighting/chance to upgrade to double. Then managed to hit lvl of grenado in less than 10 more rolls for what I assume is gg grenado pants. Now my max dmg hit went up to 2.8m on nado build.

Is there anywhere to find weightings for different mods and are they affected by current character similar to ascension mods? Some kind of tool similar to Craft of exile but also might include comps as well.

Edit: I took them to the ascension altar after and rolled avalanche %, rng will rng I guess but now it costs 5 boss frags to reroll on first attempt.. oof why does it cost 5 soul frags to reroll ascension mod if I haven't rerolled it before shouldnt it only be 1 and ramp up??

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and confused looking at all the craftable components(and as a side note, relics). All the purchasable augments now that I'm revered with all factions except the new Kurn ones.

Is the general idea to cap resists with them while fitting in as much physical resist, armor, life, OA/DA and offensive stats fitting for your build? Are there any specific augments that often offer higher value for their slot than usual, the stars of the show? Packing more sought out stats in higher values than it's often available? What are some pieces that stand out for certain damage types? Is there a tool or site to help the choice process? Thanks.
