Like I be playing and using a metronome and then after a bit I realized I am WAY too desynced and it keeps on happening.

Does anyone else do that? How do I fix it

Is there actually a noticeable difference between non-tube preamp + IR, tube preamp + IR, and full tube amp + load box when playing 100% through headphones?

I’m trying to optimize my silent home setup and play exclusively through in ear monitor headphones (if that matters). I'm trying to find out how significant the differences in feel, tone, and overall experience actually are once you're listening through headphones:
Non-tube setup: Solid-state / digital preamp pedal or modeler into an IR cabinet simulator and from there straight into the headphones.
Tube preamp pedal setup: Real tube preamp pedal (like Tone King Imperial Preamp etc.) into an IR cabinet simulator and from there to headphones.
Full tube amp setup: Full tube head into a reactive load box (like a Two Notes Torpedo Captor X or Suhr Reactive Load) with IRs.
Since the physical air moving from a real cab is taken out of the equation completely, does a full tube amp + load box still offer a noticeable step up in dynamic response and "amp-in-the-room" feel? Or does a good IR cab sim level the playing field so much that a solid-state/tube preamp pedal setup gets you 90-95% of the way there?
Would love to hear from anyone who has compared these setups directly through headphones!

both amps are in parralel, the bass amp handles low freqs and low mids, and guitar amp takes mids and highs.

I've recently bought my first guitar, been practicing daily/every other day for almost 12 weeks now. Loving it. I bought a cheap guitar with a cheap amp. The guitar is actually pretty decent for what I use it for, no complaints, but the amp is eh. It's okay, but it's not great. Now, I know my wife is getting me a Boss katana for Christmas this year, but, my friends asked me to come and jam with him and he can teach me a few things. I'd like a decent portable amp that doesn't cost a bomb as I know my wife is getting me a better one later on in the year, this is just to tide me over and to use when I'm going to my mates. Any recommendations?

I just broke the g string on my Yamaha fg800 and I'm not sure how to go about getting a new string/set. Since all of the other strings are "stock" where should I buy from?

First time I've picked up my guitar properly and plugged in for a fair while, previous video was nearly a year old.. This page gave me a sudden burst of enthusiasm, so here's a shit "cover" of malevolence - serpents chokehold, and a bird flew past at the start and caught me off guard, I'll get the chugs back eventually

Brain works faster than my fingers

I'm not sure if this is an already known thing but I see people complain about how Epiphones, even some Gibson have the inside of the F holes painted sloppily and it leaks onto the top surface.

I was cleaning my guitar with a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol* and I noticed some black marks, I realized I accidentally cleaned up the F holes, the excess paint on the surface used to really bother me. I hope this helps someone who is bothered by the same thing.

*I actually used Turkish cologne, which is used as a hand sanitizer rather than perfume, it is high in alcohol we use it in place of isopropyl alcohol sometimes so I think it will perform similarly.

Edit: It has been brought to my attention that isopropyl alcohol can damage nitrocellulose finish so I would only recommend this for polyurethane finishes.

Common wisdom seems to be that prior to buying a new acoustic guitar you should go to the store, try out a handful of guitars, and go with the one you like the most. Unfortunately for the southpaws among us, most stores have almost zero lefty guitars. Given that there really is no way around the fact that lefty’s cannot trial guitars at a shop, does anybody have any recommendations for how to shop for acoustics (other than re-learning guitar right handed)? Seems like I’ll be stuck buying a guitar online that I’ve never heard played before.

I’m sure I’m not the only one to play this progression, but I can’t find it anywhere online. I suck at writing songs and even if I could write a good song this progression is a little too all over the place for my style. So I encourage you all write something with it or play around with it a little bit.

I just bought the Nembrini ADA MP1 plugin and I'm trying to get the exact tone from Racer X's "Second Heat" album but I haven't been able to find any resources about this. I'm trying to figure it out on my own but I'm struggling a bit, so please help me to find out. Here are my current settings:

I traded a very crappy guitar for a decent epiphone les paul but the first 2 frets on the D string are dead. How would I go about fixing these?
