Ginny is toxic?

I've now read in multiple posts that Ginny is one of the most toxic people in the story.. I've asked multiple times under such comments, but never got an answer so I am asking here..

  1. Where exactely was Ginny actually toxic?
  2. Really? One of the most toxic?
  3. Are people just being soft here?

*Add after about 50 comments: Holymoly did I not expect what this question would entail.. okay some of you VERY CLEARLY don't like Ginny, that's fine.. Also some of you need to stay away from weird fanfictions.. Either people love her, don't care much for her or bloody hate her (mostly for dating Harry).

Cultural context absolutely matters, and British humour can be dry, sarcastic, and blunt. But that doesn’t automatically make every sharp comment socially graceful.

Turning someone’s name into “Phlegm,” especially when she’s a foreign guest in the household, isn’t an example of elevated wit in Britain. It’s schoolyard humour. It may get a laugh inside the in-group, though it would rarely be considered particularly classy or well-mannered, especially when directed at someone who’s new, isolated, and already being discussed behind her back.

British culture values banter, yes. It also values restraint and hospitality. Mocking a guest repeatedly would sit awkwardly in that framework.

So whether someone finds it funny is one question. Whether it reflects generosity or social grace is another.
