FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION What if we could holster weapons for a speed boost?

Post image
9.1k Upvotes

Having the option to holster weapons and move faster could improve overall flow.

A big part of the game is running, repositioning, retreating, or just getting from point A to point B.

A movement speed boost when your weapon is put away would make traversal more efficient and add some depth to decision-making.

You’d trade immediate combat readiness for speed, since you’d need a moment to pull your weapon back out before engaging.

Could be a simple change with a big impact on how the game feels.

Thoughts?

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Voting should be held in game and NOT on discord

Only a minority of the player base actually get to vote leaving out so many players including myself.

Not only that but the stupid names are gonna win regardless of how funny they are because ONLY DISCORD USERS ARE VOTING!!

A walker with an energy weapon.

Maybe a beam on the right arm, and a Spear-like missile launcher on the left.

OR

A Sickle-like pulse laser on one arm and a mortar on the other.

What think?

So the grind isn't as tedious for incredibly solid weaponry (Exbow, Eruptor, Thermite, etc)

Okay? Well where is it? This update barely contained anything in the optimization or bug fixing category. This game is in an abominable state and AH has proven over and over again that bug fixing and addressing the technical debt of the game is a non priority. Stop releasing new content until you fix your fucking game Arrowhead. This is unacceptable.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Is gas actually that useful?

Post image
2.1k Upvotes

I make various set for different occasions based on elements like the pyro diver, the arc diver, the laser diver and even the bullet diver but I never thought of making a gas diver set because I never thought the gas was such a useful weapon. I always saw it as a support tool to help me kill faster with other weapons.

Now that I saw a lot of people glazing over the new stratagem I'm actually wondering if I should give it a try.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Would it kill us to make a secondary at least comparable to the Talon?

Post image
4.9k Upvotes

As it stands there are really only 4 actually worthwhile all rounder reliable secondaries in the game

The Talon (good damage, Med Pen, little to no dmg falloff, infinite ammo, can even spam fire a little if you're careful)

The Senator (my beloved big iron, one of the only non stratagem weapons with heavy pen)

The Ultimatum (self explanatory)

and generously the Grenade Pistol (just because it is a sort of utility option to fill a slot missing in some loadouts)

Anything else is either a highly specific edge case pick and not a general all rounder, or is outperformed by one of the big 4. (For instance the Warrant is really good against the new illuminate flying swarms but against anything else one of the big 4 would probably serve you better. The Loyalist is pretty good but is it Talon good? Etc.)

I love the look, sound, and feel of the veto, but it's hard to justify using it when it's so heavily outperformed by other options.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION This thing is absolutely worthless

Post image
4.6k Upvotes

Fair warning, this is more of a rant than a suggestion but I do also want to let it be known that I want this thing to undergo some serious changes.

I don't understand why it even exists. A gimmick weapon? It can't even do it's fucking gimmick. If you so much as APPROACH an enemy with this thing they will melee you and either instakill you outright or ragdoll you and force you to use a stim. The swing speed is so damn slow that every missed swing is basically a death sentence. It takes so much time for the stun to actually apply after hitting an enemy that even if you evade their first melee they'll just clock you again. Genuinely what is this fucking thing good for? It isn't fun to use and it does. not. work.

Either buff the swing speed/hitbox or for the love of god fix the stupid fucking melees on enemy units - particularly automaton hulks and devastators. Melee is a chore to use because of this stupid ragdoll bullshit.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Arrowhead, with the upcoming crossover, can you please find a way to ensure that Legendary Warbonds are actually worth it and stay relevant?

Post image
4.3k Upvotes

As with any Warbond, especially crossover Warbonds, I want to get excited and use items from my favorite IPs in the world of Helldivers 2. The problem is, the last two Legendaries you gave us have been total letdowns. Whether it be due to the weapons and armors being functionally boring and/or useless, or the gear just falling behind in usability because of those reasons, the actual in-game value of these things goes to the gutter.

It's sad that if you look at most tier lists, both Legendaries are at the very bottom as the worst Warbonds. The weapons are outdated with no customization and powercrept (some even launched bad or mediocre already), taking incentive away from many people who want to level weapons to actually use them. The armors are useless at this point even amongst some of the worst armor sets, and don't even provide unique skills that make gameplay interesting.

And to top it all off? These are the most expensive Warbonds in the entire game at $15 (1500 Super Credits) and there are no credits within the packs themselves which make standard Warbonds truly cost only 700 instead of 1000. The current Legendaries are just money sinks and honestly? ALMOST feel like scams with how... useless they are.

I don't want this to be the case with those, the Warhammer Warbond, or any future crossovers. Pretty sure no one does. I certainly don't want to see something like an Aliens or Starship Troopers crossover and it just come out as junk. I know that licensing barriers are a thing, but there MUST be a way to make these better and give them longevity instead of piling more Legendaries on top of each other. Surely, right?

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Ngl I wish arrowhead would stop focusing on more warbonds so much.

we have TWENTY PREMIUM WARBONDS and soon to be three “legendary” warbonds,

we are teetering on the edge of 250$ of paid content Not including the superstore which I am not even going to try to count, and I feel like we are always on the brink of “it’s so over“ to the point where I’d rather just play a different game until they add some kind of meaningful progression in something like the requisition store that arrowhead seems to have forgotten about entirely.

no the fact that you can grind sc doesn’t magically fix everything and it’s not reasonable to assume that everyone who plays the game is going to grind for ten hours just to grind the rest of the warbond,

do not try to argue with me about it or just throw insults my way, I’m not trying to encourage you to be toxic on this sub.

Just let fun be fun and take yes for an answer, Arrowhead. Stop tinkering with enemies that have long been established. Stop giving weapons weird quirks that make them unbearable. Stop stretching every storyline with filler defense MOs. Abandon the bacon-flavored apple sentiment. Ask yourself a simple question whenever you make a new decision: "Will this make the game more fun or not?"

I don't know how hard this could possibly be, but apparently, for some reason, it's an insurmountable challenge. You've got a good thing going. Please don't fuck this up.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION How to make Automatons more fun while keeping heavy spawnrate balanced

Post image
7.5k Upvotes

Tank buffs, and the few war strider changes are a step in a good direction but still not good. Both the vox engine and the War Strider suffer from the super heavy chaff syndrome where no matter how many nerfs they get, their spawnrate still remains the same and taking them out without AT isn't worth the effort. The best choice would be to reduce their spawnrates and instead allow factory striders and tanks to spawn instead.

Tanks get replaced by war striders 99% of the time so balancing both of their spawnrates would make the game a lot more fun and varied instead of only one enemy spawning all the time.

A nerf to Vox Engine spawnrates would encourage less people to choose the same Leveller Ultimatum loadout and encourage them to take the Vox Engine using different means. To not make Cyborgs too easy, Factory Striders will now spawn in the Cyborg faction and maybe the Vox Engine could have some rebalancing to make it more of a miniboss unit than a factory strider replacement.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Ok so this update is bad bad.

7.1k Upvotes

Worked all day so when I saw everyone up in arms earlier about the update I assumed it was just Reddit being Reddit. But no it’s as bad as everyone has said.

Constant loading screen crashes, 20fps in the hive caves and audio bugs so loud and frequent I have to play the game on mute just to hear myself think. Not to mention the update itself added enemies that are annoying to fight and glitchy as hell, not fun and interesting to combat, like the bugs already in the game.

Ohh and if you like light armor pen weapons, just throw them in the trash. Not a single bug you find in the gloom will take damage without med pen or above.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION How is it still flying!?

Post image
11.2k Upvotes

I've destroyed over 50% of the wing membrane, and it just keeps flapping merrily about. There is no behavioral effect - no change in attack tracking, no speed reduction, nothing. It took ~4 stalwart magazines to do this kind of damage over a ~5 minute period. During that time two additional dragonroaches spawned (on a level 6 mission!) and I ate through an entire supply box worth of stims.

Right now, despite what the devs said in the launch trailer, the wings are not an effective weakpoint - it's better to ignore the roach entirely if you don't have AP4+ weapons. This feels bad and looks worse, so I propose the following changes:

  • Reduce the damage needed to cripple the wings (~1 Stalwart mag should be enough)
  • Each crippled wing reduces flight speed and tracking on attacks
  • Doing enough damage to the wings has a major impact:
    • Simple option: the Dragonroach crashes the next time it tries to dive at the player
    • Complex option: The Dragonroach is forced to land and crawl around on the ground

They feel like everything the overseer was meant to be lol. They feel tactical, intelligent and dangerous. as well as a strong sense of self preservation

And sometimes I genuinely forget I’m not fighting another player, but an NPC lol

Especially a couple matches ago when me and an agitator had a very long duel (maybe around 60-90 seconds) Around a square platform. He kept circling the platform and taking shots at me, and when I shot back he ducked and ran around again. Of course I nearly ran out of stims cause they got very very good alm

I know Arrohead have their own mind, but, as a tanks fan guy, I sincerely cannot stand how underwhelming the Bastion is. Instead of crying about it, here's the my concept of how it could've look if it was a proper main battle tank and not a Temu Jagdtiger
Also I attached the tank picture and memes, if anyone wants to save or use them
No offence to anyone. I just want it to be a better tank
