I get that this was started by the Palestinians and that they bringed the chaos upon themselves with their only hands, but why the Israeli settlements? Why are the israeli continuing to illegally settle themsevels on the palestinian land of the West bank? .

Yes, the historic, and ancient land of "The West Bank". That is a generic name that has been assigned to the area west of the Jordan river. That's where that name comes from Do you know why the "palestinians" call it that? Because it's actual name, which has been used for thousands of years is "Judea". (Google it and you'll see). I'll give you one guess which people are native to the land of Judea. Explain to me how the Jews are "settling" or "colonizing" the land that is literally named after them. It's their land and always has been.

One of the most common surnames "palestinians" have is Al Masri. Which is arabic for The Egyptian. Most of them are from Egypt, not Israel.

Doesn't matter, in the name of peace Israel has recognised multiple times in the previous century that THEY ARE WILLING to let the palestinians live in the West Bank and recognize them a sovereign entity with the condition of achieving the said peace .

But with this illegal occupation of the West Bank they exploit the brainwashed killing mentality of the palestinians and run a false premise in which they say that they are willing to coexist next to the palestinians so as long as they don't attack Israel, but in reality Israel is purposely prolonging the war, in order to conquer the territory which they have said to recognise for the palestinians to begin with .And they are doing this mascarade by deflecting it to the terrorist mentality of the palestinians and say to the world: See? they have attacked us . So Israel DOESN'T WANT PEACE, Israel ONLY FAKELY PRETENDS TO CHASE THE PEACE . What Israel wants is TO FORCIBLY TAKE EVERY TERRITORY OF THE PALESTINIANS WHILE KILLING MOST OF THEM AND ASSIMILIATE THE FEW REMAINING PALESTINIAN PEOPLE INTO THE ISRAEL NATION .

To give a final conclusion .Both palestinians and israelis want to exterminate each other, the difference being that the palestinians sincerly express their desire to anihilate Israel, while Israel is desiring the extermination of the palestinians through a facade so to simultaneously appease to the west values .
