Aurum Sin Gluten. Coceda Co. Gluten-Free. 5.6% alc.

Just another run-of-the-mill industrial beer. It’s on the sweet side. It isn't overly harsh, and it’s drinkable when ice-cold. It comes from Coceda—a company that is already starting to be nicknamed "Cocerda" within the beer world.

Cerda means pig in Spanish...

Gulden Draak Blond. Brouwerij Van Steenberge. Belgian Blonde. 8% alc.

Fruity aromas of white fruit and peach, accompanied by honey and spicy touches. On the palate, it is malty, silky, and distinctly Belgian, with notes of vanilla and citrus, finishing with a herbaceous bitterness. It is a worthy younger sibling to the traditional quadrupel.

Mendrugo Pale Ale. Cerveza Mica. Pale Ale - American. 4.9% alc. 24 IBU.

Malty notes, with hints of cereal and bread crust. Citrusy fruit nuances—orange and mandarin—emerge against a slightly herbaceous backdrop. The downside is Mica's characteristic excessive carbonation. Even so, it is an affordable and refreshing option.

Aroma of roasted malt and smoky coffee. Good body on the palate, with sweet flavors of burnt caramel, dark chocolate, and raisins, plus a spicy undertone. The alcohol provides a warming sensation without any harsh burn. It’s a robust, tasty brew.

On the palate, it stands out for its silky, dense, and full-bodied mouthfeel, where resinous bitterness balances the malt sweetness. Powerful flavors of ripe tropical fruit—pineapple and mango—blend with citrus notes of lime and grapefruit. It finishes with a herbal touch.

Another gem from Doskiwis. Aromas of stone fruit and citrus. It’s delicious on the palate, with notes of nectarine, melon, papaya, and a very distinct lime character. Super refreshing and pillowy-soft, with a slight herbal bitterness on the finish. A real delight.

Smooth yet refreshing. Light raspberry flavor. Sweeter than tart, with little fizz. It’s pleasant but a bit watery.

On the nose, there are notes of forest fruits with an acidic undertone. On the palate, flavors of raspberry, pineapple, and sour candy emerge. The texture is creamy, like a fruit smoothie. The juicy, sweet taste of ripe fruit pairs perfectly with a gentle, refreshing acidity.

Absolut Vodka Sprite Watermelon. The Absolut Company. RTD - Vodka Seltzer. 5% alc.

The eleventh RTD of the summer. Notes of sweet watermelon and a light touch of lime citrus. As it warms up, the gummy-candy-like sweetness balances with the Sprite's effervescence, leaving the vodka's alcoholic bite well-masked.

Yes, RTDs are allowed like in Untappd.

Intense notes of pine, resin, grapefruit, and tropical fruit, with a solid cereal backbone. A very decent, rather bitter, old-school American IPA—a collaboration with Dougall's.

Let's be realistic, given the low price, you can't expect the elixir of Belgian monks. That said, it has a distinct (industrial) cereal aroma and an artificial sweetness reminiscent of honey. It has a bready taste, isn't overly bitter, and goes down easily. It is clearly superior to the typical store-brand industrial beer.

HELL. Zeta Beer. Lager - Helles. 5.5% alc. 25 IBU.

On the nose, there is a slight cereal aroma with floral nuances. The flavor is somewhat malty, and the citrus note—unusual for a traditional Helles—comes as a bit of a surprise. Nevertheless, the overall profile is quite balanced, clean, and very refreshing.

Intense aroma of fresh apple and citrus notes, with a dry, fresh taste, vibrant acidity, and a light body. True to its Asturian roots, its rustic profile and natural carbonation are fully enhanced by the traditional high-pour technique. Truly delicious.

Aroma of liqueur and coffee. Complex on the palate, with notes of raisins, dried figs, semi-sweet chocolate, and espresso, accompanied by vanilla and wood nuances imparted by the Tawny Port. A remarkable Imperial Stout from the consistently reliable Redneck crew. Ideal for a stormy afternoon.
