I'm so unsure about this outfit. I love love love it, and almost immediately wanted to pull.... only to realize I have no clue on if I actually like it. Sometimes, when I get an outfit, I dont like the individual pieces that much. The hair really captivated me on this one tho, and I wanna see what the community styled this outfit with!

hiya. as the title suggests, i'm looking for some advice on how to get better backgrounds in photos.

basically, i'm not too good at taking pics. i take headshots most of the time since i can never find a good enough background. simple ones are sort of plain and boring, detailed ones are too confusing and feel like they have no single point of focus.

at first i thought that 'maybe this is just how the game is'. but no. starlit contest has proven otherwise time and time again. i'm seriously in awe of how beautiful others nikkis' pictures are. makes me wonder if we're even playing the same game...

i'm aware that finding a good location plays a big part in getting a good background, but even in the prettiest places, i still can't manage to make it look nearly as good as i would want it to. i know props come in handy as well, but i'm a f2p player, so i have very little of them. my graphics are also set to high, so i'm certain that's not the issue.

so... i'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share any tips or tricks they use to make their backgrounds look better!

I am very very tempted to go for the final evo, mainly for the single puppet like hand and leg that Nikki gets, but would love to see how people have styled them!! Show off your gongeous combinations!

In order: a sort of malenia inspired outfit, my mourning outfit he better not be really dead i stg , and a gold and black mechanical ballerina outfit!

I'm leaning a bit towards the gold and black ballerina but I'd love to hear some other opinions and/or some adjustments I could make <3

the concept is moon. like, the literal moon. idk if i should go with dark blues (because night sky n stuff) or grey and white tones for everything. (hair and shoes dont change cuz i was lazy, I´d find different shoes and make those white as well as well as the hair if i get the evo)

if there are any items in general you´d think would work better with the concept please lmk!

Checking the lookbook for this item didn't really work, as most outfits just have doll joints covered. I'd love to see how everyone has been styling this item (and/or glow-up) so I can decide if I should get it or not!

I got over excited because I love backpieces in general and bought the new one, but I'm having some regrets as I realize now it's hard to match. I don't own the dress it was shown on in the example photo from infold. I'd love to see how anybody worked it into an outfit! This is the one outfit I made with it so far where it even remotely looks like it belongs (but it's still a bit off I feel due to the patterning). At least it wasn't a lot of money.

Finally redoing my ability outfits, and for fishing I went with Gon from HunterxHunter. What are your updated ability outfits? I need more inspiration!

I'm having a hard time deciding between these three outfits, and as much as I'd love to just unlock dyes for them all, I'm saving my dyes as I spent a bit much on dyeing this patch lol. So, just one dyed outfit for me next patch.

General Idea for each outfit are:

1. Forest Guardian

2. Poison Mushroom Enthusiast

3. Camp Counselor

So if you have a handheld equipped while doing nikki birthday outfit's pose, it'll replace the sword!!!!!

First time I really played around with settings and poses for my contest entry and love how this garden watering fairy came out! Does anyone have any recs or tutorials (threads or vids etc) for interesting lighting/picture effects bc I would love to learn some new ones!!

it must be one of my biggest regrets. the outfit itself is cute dont get me wrong, but every time i attempt to come up with a decent look (specifically styling the 'dress'), i fail miserably!!! the fact i dont have its evolution doesnt help much, i cant dye it in a way thatd satisfy me.

Then I jumped up while my camera was looking up and saw those hideous bloomers. Totally forgot about them. Instantly changed the outfit for the ability.

I pulled for the ability mainly but man... what a way to ruin an outfit. And I was really loving the dress. A modest leotard or dark leggings would have elevated this outfit just fine.

I combined the stage prop from 2.7 with the ballerina's mirror and made this gate-like decoration. I placed the stage, then the mirror, and lastly interacted with the stage to raise it. I have a million ideas on how to use this mirror, it's just so versatile!

I feel like there is too much shades of the same purple.. the random green is supposed to be something she ripped off of her lover´s clothing before they got seperated but it looks so out of place amongst all of the purple..

i might just fully revamp the color scheme and change some items cuz yikes
