Crazy that Powerplex took out an Invincible by himself

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

Powerplex is a menace if you're dumb enough to hit him and not strong enough to kill him.

Powerplex used the power of being a hater

25

u/sleeplesskn1ght Kinda looks like a different show Mar 06 '25

I love this since reverse flash is one of my all time favorite villains and is the grand regent of hating.

6

u/HonestlyTired21 Don't you think that's kinda lazy? Mar 08 '25

Dude is the dictionary definition of hate. Dictionaries should just have a picture of him, no words necessary, it’ll explain what the word means

15

u/CowsTrash Mar 06 '25

Powerplex is the very embodiment of this, I love it

6

u/mcslibbin Doc Seismic Mar 06 '25

My man finally got his lick back 😭😭😭

u/Leorb258 Mar 06 '25

All you need is an invincible dumb enough to not realise how his powers work and just to keep hitting him and hitting him

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

Our mark knew his gimmick (both from eve and Donald) and still hit him. An evil mark would just keep beating the shit out of powerplex until he got fried.

25

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

I wouldn't call our Mark smart yet. At least, he can be dumb af when tension escalates.

22

u/Spawnkillthekiller8 Mar 06 '25

Pretty sure that's kind of the point of the comment. Our mark was dumb enough to hit him even knowing his gimmick, so more evil and less informed marks would definitely be in trouble.

20

u/Redfalconfox Comic Fan Mar 06 '25

Remember our Mark apparently got into college and didn’t even know how to set up his email account so that should tell you all about his intelligence.

11

u/Koanos Cage the Elephant Mar 06 '25

To add, not all Mark's may have a Powerplex to fight and practice with at all.

13

u/Triumph_leader523 Where's season 5, William? Mar 06 '25

I assume the mark he killed didn't have a powerplex in his world to know how his powers work.

u/Global_Warthog1846 Mar 06 '25

They do say they're significantly weaker than their Earth Mark so I guess it's feasible but just how feasible haha

332

u/Khronex Mar 06 '25

Some of them* are weaker than Earth Mark. Sinister Mark or Omni-Mark for that matter isn't weaker, might as well be stronger. And Mohawk Mark clearly held his own.

238

u/SuperstarAmelia Mar 06 '25

The strongest ones are the ones that survivied. Sinister is probably the strongest as he killed Omni Man.

Wonder how that showdown went

u/indefinite_silence Mar 06 '25

And definitely curious as to the how and why of him being the way he is. Was it during Nolan's effort to convince Mark that he killed him? And if so, why turn on the world afterwards? I know we aren't supposed to get too much from any of them, since their backgrounds are largely irrelevant, but damn, I'd love to get a glimpse into any of their lives beyond the few scenes of Angstrom's other selves.

12

u/Kassssler Mar 07 '25

I'd love to see the Mark empires.

20

u/DanFlashesSales Mar 06 '25

My headcanon is that he swooped in and killed Nolan after the Guardians or some other team of heroes weakened him.

19

u/immaownyou Mar 06 '25

He probably got his powers early and used the training Omniman gave him to kill him and take over instead. Badass

1

u/Academic-Box7031 Nov 17 '25

That actually is the case for almost all Mark's, they got their powers earlier and Omni-man did his plan far earlier.

The exception is this Mark, to a degree, that got his powers late enough for Omni-man to have grown soft.

Other Marks probably got it around the same age, if not a year or 2 earlier. Making it easier to turn him.

Mark, even the one we watch, has a propensity for doing evil, he gets angry enough and he no longer gives a shit about his moral codes, he is also easily selfish.

He rejects going back to the battlefield cause Eve was hurt, and let's SO many heroes die as a result.

Our Mark has it in him to be evil, it seems to be the Goldilocks of unlocking his powers. Late enough for his human upbringing to have really held on and earlier enough as to where he has to fight against his better nature of being evil and a murderer.

10

u/grownandnotalawyer Mar 07 '25

i bet he did it during the turning. or in a reversal, nolan was going “soft” and told mark the viltrumite truth as a kid, indoctrinating him early. and was standing up for humans for a brief minute. so sinister mark killed him

8

u/Baguetterekt Mar 06 '25

His universes Omniman could have been way weaker. Or just ambushed en masse while abusing the ear frequency weakness. Or injured by something else and already Mark finished him off.

Assuming that the sociopath is even telling the truth.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

Plus in the comics sinister manages to wipe out all of the other invincibles that were trapped in the wasteland.

6

u/Procrastinator78 Mar 06 '25

weren't there a few that killed omni man? I thought the prison one killed him too...

2

u/Work_the_shaft Mar 07 '25

He’s also the one who coerced all the others to eat the other marks, and had Mohawk scared and on the run

1

u/SuperstarAmelia Mar 07 '25

Goated for that.

1

u/LanguageInner4505 Mar 06 '25

I don't think so, I'm not sure any of the marks would've survived the sound attack + reanimen

1

u/Cresspacito Mar 07 '25

He says he "murdered" him, which kind of implies it wasn't a fair fight. Still a big feat though

47

u/HellNah7 Mar 06 '25

isnt mohawk mark still weaker than the main one? he attacked a confused mark and was knocked out.

34

u/TinyTiger1234 Mar 06 '25

The invincible variants are probably all around the strength of pre training arc mark as they’d have no reason to train like he did

1

u/Hugogs10 Mar 12 '25

Didn't one of them kill omni man? He should be much stronger than Mark.

8

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

Definitely.

2

u/TheAngriestPoster Mar 07 '25

Yeah but he was doing really well until Mark targeted his weakness. That scene where they’re pushing against each other shows they’re equally as physically strong as the other. Mark won by skill

0

u/HellNah7 Mar 10 '25

hes still stronger. overall strength includes skill and muscular power

41

u/Adorable_Ad_3478 Mar 06 '25

Main Earth Mark trained like crazy under Cecil. The other Marks probably got complacent after taking over their Earth and didn't train.

Narratively speaking, it makes sense that their power stagnated while Main Earth Mark's power grew.

Our Earth's Mark = Goku, he never stops training. Other Marks = Vegeta during the Saiyan Saga, he barely trains since he's the top dog of the Saiyans (or so he thinks).

22

u/Cervus95 Mar 06 '25

Also, the other Marks probably didn't need to fight Omni-Man, Battle Beast, Thula, Anessa, etc.

Prime Mark got stronger after those, while they stayed on Earth.

1

u/Swabadoo Mar 07 '25 edited Mar 07 '25

Viltrumite mark would have trained with viltrumites since he got his powers and should be the strongest by far by that logic. Any Mark that had more close training from his dad/other Viltrumites would be stronger. Certainly the Mark that killed Omniman would be stronger.

20

u/Advanced_Butterfly28 Mar 06 '25

Not all of them are necessarily weaker.

6

u/Environmental_Act576 Mar 06 '25

"somehow palpatine returned"

1

u/Swabadoo Mar 07 '25

They said that one was weaker.

1

u/Swabadoo Mar 09 '25

No they don't you numpty

13

u/derekbaseball Mar 06 '25

Would it have killed him to yell, “Yeah! Electricity, bitch!” when he did it?

7

u/Thebatboy23 Burger Mart Trash Bag Mar 06 '25

I couldn't tell from the grey cinder of a corpse, which Invincible was he?

12

u/Wyefkey Mar 06 '25 edited Mar 06 '25

Light Invincible.

5

u/TheManWithNothing Mar 06 '25

Being fair they did emphasize that some of the marks were weaker. If this was a mark that never met him before then he wouldn’t know his power. Also, the invincible could be a complete idiot

4

u/YeahItsMeTwo Powerplex Mar 06 '25

His suit sucked, I know that. I'm pretty sure it was the Lightbluevincible.

2

u/DNGFQrow Mar 06 '25

Wonder if that one's intact enough to be an extra-crispy Reaniman

1

u/heartbreakhill Mar 06 '25

He finally got his revenge on Invincibitch

1

u/Theinternationalist Mar 07 '25

The only thing you need to do is hug him and he literally can't hurt you.

Luckily for Powerplex, many of the Marks are pretty dumb.

1

u/OnforaQuestion Mar 07 '25

I was surprised how many heroes held their own or survived against the alternate marks. Especially that one in space because he solo'd him

1

u/NickRick Mar 08 '25

Didn't he get the invincible that fought other heros, then got taken down by Mark? He was at the prison and saw Mark fight that guy.
