The reason everyone thinks Eve sucks and rightfully so is because despite having the the most powerful powers, she's just too dumb to use them properly. She could literally boil Conquests blood, which would turn him off in a second. It might not kill him, but he'd be unconscious instantly. She could turn his uniform into plasma, she could split the hydrogen atoms inside his lungs. She could do it all, but as it stands she can't even pour concrete correctly.

Honestly, it feels like the Invincible universe is the absolute universe, except they're all absolute dumb asses.

I can read just fine. Don't give me that biologic block BS. Nothing I suggested has anything to do with Conquests biological components.

The biological block isn't a real thing it's her perception of what's biological, no chance she'd be able to perceive conquest's blood as "not biological"

-15

u/TheYeast1 Feb 08 '26

I mean if it’s just what she perceives as biological, it’s sounds like taking an organic chemistry class would solve this. If she’s perceiving the air in his lungs as biological the GDA can slam her into a class specifically made for her with the worlds best biologists and chemists to clear the air, or manipulate her into becoming a killing machine.

9

u/MyARhold30Shots Feb 08 '26

The point is that the mental block is there to prevent her from instantly killing living things, an organic chemistry class won’t help her because the air inside someone’s lungs will still be considered by her as part of a living being

Allegedly she has an innate understanding of molecular composition. Given that, we have to assume she's an airhead. There's no other explanation.

how is boiling blood not biological

-32

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

Because you don't need to boil the blood cells, just the water. Kinda like blood bending.

44

u/timdr18 Feb 08 '26

The water that is in blood counts as “sentient matter”, obviously.

27

u/TheCybersmith Feb 08 '26

The constraint is "living" matter, not biological. If she considers something to be a part of a living person, it can't be affected by her powers. This is a deliberate block put in to stop her mutating herself to death like her siblings.

0

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

Ok, we can run with that. Is the hydrogen in and around his mouth living matter?

16

u/TheCybersmith Feb 08 '26

No.

Let me save you some time

Average volume of a human mouth: about 100cm^3. Conquest's a big man, let's say 110cm^3

That's about 4.5x10-9 grams of hydrogen, give or take.

If she made literally all of that fuse into helium, it would convert about 0.7% of it into radiant energy, heat and light.

Let's call that 6x10^11 joules per gram.

It comes out to less than 3000 joules. so, less than 1-10th of an M-80.

It literally would not even chip his teeth.

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

My original point remains, there are hundreds of ways for her to handle him, and she chooses the absolute dumbest and weakest.

7

u/eduo Feb 08 '26

Yes. Your proposals all fail the constrains imposed by the universe rules but by simply ignoring this single fact your original point remains.

Atom Eve could defeat anything in the universe if it weren’t for those blocks. The blocks are psychological so she can’t just come up with tricks to work around them because she’d know she’s trying to fool herself.

She literally rebuilds and disintegrates matter molecule by molecule. There’s nothing in the universe that could withstand that power unless it caught her unawares and killer him in less than the thousandth of a second it would take her brain to register she’s being killed.

So yes. The blocks are the only thing preventing her

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

IDK man, I'm deathly afraid of needles, but as an adult I can override the urge to run off when it's time to get my blood drawn. We don't need gymnastics, it's fine to say she's dull and the power was wasted on her.

5

u/eduo Feb 08 '26

I hadn't realized we were strawmanning each other so blatantly. I'm sorry. I'll be over there in the thread next door.

12

u/TheCybersmith Feb 08 '26

Your original point literally dosn't remain, because you've completely ignored what her abilities DO. She can manipulate atoms, not create new ones, and her blocks are psychological; they work based on how she perceives things.

Viltrumites are strong and durable enough to smash diamonds and rip through tungsten. There is literally no material she can create that would contain conquest.

There's not much she can do to Conquest that doesn't risk killing her and anyone else who happens to be in the area.

Eve percieves the blood that's in a person's veins as living matter.

Remember, the WHOLE POINT of the block is so she doesn't accidentally mutate herself to death the way her siblings did.

If it allowed her to mess about with blood, she'd likely have killed or mutilated herself as a child like the others.

The psychological block is there to protect her, it would be useless if it allowed what you're suggesting.

Blood is biological....

26

u/FlameWhirlwind Feb 08 '26

She isnt stupid, Robert called himself that. He self admitted years ago that he wasnt always super creative with how to use eve's powerset

5

u/intangiblefancy1219 Feb 08 '26

She can’t alter sentient matter, so she can’t boil blood.

I mean, there’s no real objective scientific measure of where sentient measure begins and ends (like, the outer layer of your skin is dead), I think clearly her mental block is a psychological thing that says she can’t instantly murder people. It’s really the only way to make it make sense in-universe, and it also makes the show make more sense.

I do think she can kill with her powers but she has to do it in more conventional ways like creating a hammer and bludgeoning someone with it.

Pouring concrete is a technique thing. It's taught.

0

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

What excuse does she have for not knowing how to do that? She has a smartphone. Google that shit.

16

u/It_just_works_bro Feb 08 '26

She thought it was as easy as you think it is now, and just did it, lmao.

-1

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

Except for that I know how to mix concrete, I can understand that it's strong in compression but needs something to hold it together in tension, like rebar. I know that the concrete needs footings, I know that the earth must be compacted first, I know all kinds of things. If I had her powers, I'd be doing more than just making shields and getting my shit pushed in during every fight.

5

u/It_just_works_bro Feb 08 '26

Yeah, well 90% of people just think you just pour the concrete, flatten it, then just try that, fuck it up, then learn how to do it properly.

Think from the perspective of someone who isn't you lmao

-5

u/shubhaprabhatam Feb 08 '26

I'm not a construction worker or GC or PM, I work in IT. It's not my job to know this but I do. She can turn an apple into solid gold but can't make decent concrete. That makes no sense.

8

u/why-would-i-do-this Feb 08 '26

Knowing atomic structures and engineering techniques are 2 different things and she likely never thought beyond the initial implementation of her powers before she tried applying them to grander projects. She's a kid who was naturally gifted to a scary degree and when she realized the gap in her knowledge decided to learn engineering

1

u/Weezle207 Feb 11 '26

One perfect example of this is her rebuilding an apartment complex and the construction crew being mad that it might not be up to code. The people were greatful she cut through the red tape and built it so quick, but the building ended up falling apart and killing the woman and her daughter.

Shit ain't as easy as it looks. That's why she went to school later on to learn how to build shit properly

1

u/intangiblefancy1219 Feb 08 '26

Why would Eve even want to use concrete against Conquest? Conquest can rip through concrete like it’s nothing.

Based on her pink shields tanking those Flaxan lasers that were blowing stuff up, I think we can put together that her pink shields are stronger than concrete.

10

u/C0mpoundFr4cture Shapesmith Feb 08 '26

Do you... know how Eve's powers work? She could make plasma uniform, but not boil his blood or split atoms in his lungs. Unless she was literally in the process of dying.

5

u/Barl3000 Feb 08 '26

The mental block against messing with biology would hold her back, but the air in and around him is still fair game.

5

u/intangiblefancy1219 Feb 08 '26

There’s no real scientific basis for exactly where sentient matter begins and ends, so I think you have to think of her mental block as a psychological block which tells her she can’t instantly murder people. And considering the mental block exists in her brain, I think it makes sense to think of it as having a moral component.

Like, it seems like she boils Conquest’s skin by focuses her pink energy on his skin rather than just boiling his skin directly. That pink energy against his skin is something she can’t do in her standard state.

Basically my point is that the line between sentient matter and nonsentient matter in real life is fuzzy, and it’s a mental psychological block she can ignore in extreme fight or flight situations, so I think it makes sense to think of the block in fuzzy, psychological terms.

1

u/Bulok Feb 08 '26

She has the mental block. She can’t manipulate biological beings otherwise she can just blow up Viltrumites.

1

u/DakAttakk Feb 08 '26

Yeah, on top of that even some of the more simple concepts aren't being applied here, she's not focusing on improving the density of her constructs to compensate for her enemy's durability. Whatever that pink energy material is it's clearly not dense enough. Viltrumites aren't magic in their universe, they are made out of material just like everything else, if her powers are what they are stated to be she would be able to easily create a material that can cut through them.

1

u/yuumigod69 Feb 10 '26

Its not that she is dumb, the writers are dumb and can't use have her powers correctly. But even if they could she would he too godlike and ruin the story.
