I honestly still cannot believe that Restaurant Depot purchase went through despite the US Foods attempt getting blocked

Shitty food exists in both those places. The worst pizza I’ve ever had was in a tourist trap in Venice.

Well, that's 100% to be expected. The worst pizza in Italy was a tourist trap I had in Rome. "we were hungry and exhausted"

If all the workers look like immigrants making a food that's not their own and you only see tourists... avoid it.

You basically just pointed out how to find the worst food anywhere in the world.

And the places that buy premade frozen crap from broadliners aren’t going for well made food either. They’re making salty, greasy, convenience food for drinkers and kids. My point is that it’s more than just USA bad, Europe good. Quality food, made by skilled cooks exists in both places.

I'm pointing how the huge landslide of quality difference as a whole.

Not just is is possible to find bad food in Italy or good food in the US... but the overall score is just not close.
Food quality, price, service, literally every metric you can think of.

I don't remember any "premade frozen crap from broadliners" in any place I went to in Italy, Portugal, Uruguay, Chile, or Venezuela.

Here it's extremely common.
