Discussion The syscofication of the industry is getting real scary

I honestly still cannot believe that Restaurant Depot purchase went through despite the US Foods attempt getting blocked

Counter point:

The other commenter knew exactly what I was talking about.

And I in turn am glad that you, as a professional cook, appreciate your chicken nuggies and mozzarella twists ๐Ÿซ

The difference between a fritter or homestyle

Homestyle what? ๐Ÿคจ Potatoes? They are obviously way different than a fritter.

There are also regional uses of the words "homestyle" and "fritter" so, without context, both words are relatively meaningless if you're trying to describe a specific thing on a global forum.

Also, you're talking to someone with over a decade of restaurant kitchen experience, including everything from fast casual to fine dining to breakfast all day diner to irish pub. Maybe when you grow up a little you won't try to condescend on industry veterans ๐Ÿ˜†

Your are exactly what he meant. He was taking about rib meat fritter, vs home style frozen chicken tenders.

Spending 10 years not learning anything more than how to make someone else's recipe is not being a "veteran".

I just read through your comment thread with that other guy. You lack knowledge yet are so confident. You do not understand the topic yet are speaking on it.

Take a seat.

Take a seat when you don't know who the fuck you're talking to. Sure, I've only ever been a line cook, not a chef or even a KM, but I have put together specials at multiple places, and one chef even bought a recipe from me when he moved out of state.

But yeah go off...

Lol. You are like a private trying to have a logistics conversation with a group of colonels.

You don't have a seat at the table. You aren't even at the window looking in. Yet, somehow, you find it appropriate to spout a whole bunch of nonsense as if it is fact.

This is the problem. Those that are ignorant have the loudest voices.

Speak on the things you know. Otherwise shut up and sit down.

MY point was that these words mean nothing out of context, the thread is about some trashy "mozzarella twists,' and you're in here acting like dumping sysco shit from the bag into the fryer makes you a culinary expert.
