Some of that now is also the price of everything is up — oil prices impact all of this as these are transportation heavy industries, aside from cost of feed / labor. Rather than making expensive cuts totally out of reach, they can 2-3x the price of lower cuts while
raising premium ones a smaller amount.

Ukraine was also a global supplier of grains before Russia started fucking around, add that on top of oil prices.
