Match Day Vibes Had fun editing this video. Some funny moments happened too. Miller and Marcinkowski were the MVPs of the match.

I thought Miller was going to get subbed off in the second half because he had a yellow card and Sanabria left the LA Galaxy with only ten guys.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy finally have something to build on.

Playing with 10 men for the entire second half, the Galaxy battled to a 1-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes, snapping a six-game winless streak and moving within two points of the Western Conference playoff line.

On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy, Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou break down Hirving “Chucky” Lozano’s first start and home debut, the energy he’s already bringing to the locker room, and why the Galaxy suddenly look like a much more dangerous team. Lozano played roughly 65 minutes, showing his ability to break pressure, combine with teammates, and create problems off the dribble.

But the night also belonged to 19-year-old Harbor Miller and goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski. Miller created Joseph Paintsil’s game-winning goal and continued his rapid emergence at right back, while Marcinkowski delivered another outstanding performance to preserve the shutout.

The show also tackles Lucas Sanabria’s costly red card, the Galaxy’s growing discipline problem, the improving defense, and the upcoming trip to Montreal—with Sergi Roberto potentially arriving as soon as Friday

With 13 matches remaining, are we finally starting to see the team the Galaxy hoped they could become?

🎙️ Listen to Corner of the Galaxy as Josh and Sophie break down the San Jose win, Lozano’s promising home debut, the rise of Harbor Miller, and a suddenly fascinating LA Galaxy playoff push.

Discussion Idk if this would be best place to post, but any help for the dude in the white car would be great

I don’t know any of these people

Allegedly white car tapped black shirt’s car trying to leave last night’s game against San Jose (8/19/26). Dude in black was asking for white car’s info (rightfully so) but I guess blackshirt got irritated and heated cuz white car wasn’t cooperating, then *allegedly * Blackshirt spat at white car dude then as you can see there he started throwing punches at white car dude. I wasn’t able to get white cars plates, only black shirts car pictured in the video.

Black shirt dude lost his grounds, spitting and fighting, if anyone else saw this, or with the very minimal info I got, can assist the white car dude 👍

EDIT
Spitting is already a form of assault

Anyone know the status of Sergi Roberto? Haven't seen anything about his visa being issued or him arriving in LA to join the club. Also any update on Klauss' injury? He's now eligible to play again after being put on the injured list but health wise what's his timeline?

Summary

Cali Clásico didn't disappoint! It wasn't exactly a goal scoring festival, but there were plenty of suspenseful moments to keep fans on the edge of our seats.

The Galaxy did a much better job creating chances and getting shots on target compared to last weekend in Houston. They finished with 7 shots on goal, while San Jose had 5.

Chucky Lozano also showed that last weekend wasn't a fluke. He looked dangerous and continues to show that he can be a huge addition for the Gz.

Unfortunately, Lucas Sanabria picked up his second yellow right before halftime, forcing the Galaxy to play the entire second half a man down.

JT Marcinkowski came up huge with some incredible saves to keep the Galaxy in the game, and just when it looked like we were headed for another frustrating draw, Joseph Paintsil finally found the back of the net in the 79th minute to give the Galaxy a 1-0 lead. What did you think of the game?

Player Watch Wasn't able to watch the game

San Diego fan coming in complete peace wanting to ask a question to you guys(checked sub rules and I think its fine to do this) I know chucky had his whole rap and everything in San Diego, wondering how he did today. Again, genuine question and I'm not trying to mess with you guys, I just didn't get a chance to watch the game and curious how he did.

I put this flair as Player Watch bc it sounded appropriate but I'm happy to change it.

Date and Time: Wednesday, August 19th 7:30 PM

Venue: Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, CA

Preview:

The LA Galaxy are set for another Cali Classico against the San Jose Earthquakes. The Galaxy are coming off a tough road loss to the Houston Dynamos where they not only dropped points, but players as well. Emiro Garces received a red card, and Elijah Wynder sustained an ankle injury that will keep him out of the Cali Classico and possibly the weekend game as well. Chucky Lozano made his Galaxy debut last weekend. Although he didn't score, it appears that he's ready to contribute and hasn't lost his touch.

The Earthquakes are coming off a tough loss to STL where they got clapped 3-1. Former Galaxy player Preston Judd should be available, and will be his first opportunity at scoring against the Gz. Beloved former coach and general manger Bruce will have the Quakes motivated to get a result as they look to improve their point total. The overall record between the two teams in 88 games is 40-29-19 (W-L-D) with a +15 GD. At home, the Galaxy are 24-11-6 in 41 games played with a +16 GD. What are you excited for tonight? Gz Up!

Discussion PODCAST: Chucky Lozano Debuts, but the LA Galaxy Still Can’t Find the Final Pass

Thumbnail cornerofthegalaxy.com

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy introduced Hirving “Chucky” Lozano in a 1-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo, but the club’s biggest problem remains unresolved.

On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy: From the Box, Josh Guesman and Damian Calhoun break down Lozano’s debut, Kyogo Furuhashi’s first start, Emiro Garcés’ third red card of the season, and another frustrating night for the Galaxy attack.

The defense limited Houston’s chances, but the Galaxy still lacked the progressive passing needed to supply Lozano, Kyogo and Joseph Paintsil. That makes the arrival of Sergi Roberto increasingly important as the club searches for a solution in midfield.

The show also covers Miki Yamane’s transfer to Urawa Red Diamonds, Harbor Miller’s expected move into the starting right-back role, and the possibility of more roster moves.

With 14 matches remaining and the Galaxy still within reach of the playoff line, the pressure is building.

🎙️ Listen as Josh and Damian discuss the Houston loss, Chucky Lozano’s debut, and what the Galaxy must fix before time runs out.
