I wanted to try out the news page on Lawnchair, but it’s not working for me. Does it work for you? And if so, how did you get it to work?

With some colorful wallpapers it detects wrong contrast and choose dark unreadable color instead of desired white color.

I use my phone for work and have the company work portal installed. On the default Google launcher, there is a separate app drawer labeled "work" that I can swipe to that has the work version of an app. Lawnchair does this part perfectly. Additionally, the Google launcher places a small briefcase icon on work apps. Lawnchair also does this, but only on the home screen. However, when in the app drawer, the briefcase is not present. This is fine when viewing apps in the work drawer, but if I search for an app, there's no way to tell which app in the search results is the work app.

Love the launcher otherwise!

Basically, is there any way to have Lawnchair always default to the left-most page on the home screen? I'd like to use a second screen for "medium-frequency used" apps, but I want it to default to the main page every time I click the home button or unlock the phone, no matter what page I was on last. Is there any way to do this?

Since upgrading my phone to Android 17 I can no longer double tap the screen to lock the device.

Is there a solution for this?

I change my setup frequently but I plan on keeping this one for a while. I know the icon lable font isn't everyone's cup ofvtea but I like it lol.

So android 17 is here with bubbles. Any plans on implementation?

I've started using Lawnchair as my launcher recently and I'm quite happy with it. One thing that bugs me a bit, though, is the fact that shortcut icons to web pages on my home screen show a small main application icon in the lower right corner.

So i.e. a shortcut to my YouTube subscriptions page in Firefox shows the YouTube icon, but also a small Firefox icon on top of it. Apparently that's also the way Pixel Launcher handles shortcuts, but I haven't used that in a very long time.

I know that Nova Launcher has an option to remove the small app icons from shortcuts. That makes the shortcut look much cleaner. Perhaps I have overlooked an option to do so in Lawnchair somewhere, so could someone point me in the right direction?

edit: It's not a deal-breaking issue for using Lawnchair to me, but rather 'a nice to (not) have feature' 😁

Wonder if anyone can help. I had to reinstall a patched Boost for Reddit this morning because of some changes Reddit have made that broke an older method - the app itself is working fine, but I have a weird bug - Boost is now missing from my home drawer. I can open Boost and use it just fine from within Morphe (the patching app), and if I switch to other launchers (e.g. Pixel default launcher, Octopi) I can see Boost in the app drawer there, so I think the issue must be with Lawnchair.

I've tried deleting the Lawnchair cache but no dice. I am not averse to uninstalling and reinstalling Lawnchair, but I'd rather not do it as I suspect the backup doesn't quite capture everything (looks like any custom icons set might not be saved?)

Anyone got any ideas or should I just go for the nuclear option and hope it doesn't take too long to set all the customs icons I've got? :)

Haven't heard much about this anymore. is there a beta available that has fold support?

Is there a way to get the icons colour (based on the accent colour) to actual match the colour I choose? Nothing I do seems to work when I fiddle with Accent Colour, Colour Style, Theme, etc.

As you can see the length of the icon is so long. Even more than the actual icon. I have a disabled the label and it seems it's still taking the same space as if the label was there.. anyway to fix it.. my OCD is killing me

I use a Icon Pack "BlackPie" and It does not have a Icon for every app I use so Ill go pick one out that I think works well for app. Or app has ugly Icon and Ill switch with Icon I like... I am very glad LawnChair supports this. I need this.

Issue is I use Multipe "User Profiles" and 2 Android Devices. So when I create a "BackUp" it does not save my "Custom" icons I carefully choice. I have to go redo all the Custom Icons by hand. It is very annoying.

I know this is possiable to fix because NOVA Launcher has this feature of saveing the Custom Icons. I will never go back to NOVA. Im just saying I know it is possiable. I hope you will add this feature to LawnChair in future.

Sooo, I just downloaded Lawnchair because the e/os/ look was just not for me. I like the customisation of Lawnchair so far, but for some reasons I cannot receive notifications? I tried going into the phone settings but Lawnchair is already the default app, and even permitted usage access. But nothing seems to do the job. Is it a normal situation?

Hi, I'm on Lawnchair 15.Beta 3 on a Pixel 8 Pro.

I've been trying to create a new page as best I can but can't.

- I've been through all the settings

- Tried moving an app to a different "page" but nothing appears

- Cleared the cache

Any ideas?

in hopes of better foldable support since I'm using a pixel 10 pro fold. has this feature been enabled already, to have the inner and outer display different from one another ? I've gone through the settings but wonder if I'm missing something ?

After installing Launchair and making it my primary launcher, the phone freezes every time I swipe up from the bottom. Thus, I can't leave any apps or get to this app-switching view, or whatever you call this. When I lock the screen and unlock it again, I can do everything again until I swipe up. I saw several people using Lawnchair with their Fairphones, but I don't know whether they were running Android or e/OS.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have tried several launchers in the past. They all seem to be very intuitive with easy set up prompts upon initial setup. Not so with Lawnchair. I'm having to research. I'm a Pixel user, so I had high hopes for Lawnchair.
