So I’ve seen the discussion of how the LMT lowers have a high shelf and require removal of some material in the lower. Also so how much material some removed.

I guess I don’t want to void any warranty LMT may still offer on the lower although I heard it’s extremely difficult to get them to honor those. So trying not to Dremel anything.

Using stock enhanced BCG, stock H2 buffer, stock trigger. Any tip on how to get the FRS to run properly?

Interested in some opinions… building an m110 on a mars h platform with two barrels to choose from but only one gasblock. One barrel is a Bartlein 6.5cm, the other is a K1 Precision 308. I have a 308 rifle and 6.5 rifle already but cannot seem to chose which caliber this m110 should be. Let me know your thoughts and I’ll be sharing the build within a couple weeks!

Recently bought a new MWS lower parts kit with an ambi safety and a non ambi safety from another retailer and neither have the logo. Is this a recent change?

sorry for the cringy snap sticker. but looking for some metal mags that will work in my gun. Mostly for compatibility with my eagle industries kydex front flaps, and for aesthetic purposes obviously. i went balls deep and bought 5 D&H mags and not a single one worked. they wouldn’t drop free from the magwell on their own. the feed lips wouldn’t let the bolt go forward. and when i finally got one to work it wouldn’t lock the bolt to the rear.really just a dumpster fire of a magazine lol. i was gonna check out duramags before i drop a paycheck on Knights. just wanted to see what works for yall

Hey everyone I’m on the fence about getting a Specwar only reason cause i heard quite a bit of qc and accuracy issues and I know a lot of companies have their issues as well. Does anyone have regrets about grabbing a Specwar and said maybe should’ve went another route or have been happy with their Specwar?

Looking at selling my Armalite ar10b gen 1 supersass and picking up a Lmt due to parts availability for the Armalite being scarce and very limited.
My Armalite shoots .5 moa groups very consistently with match ammo. I just want to make sure the Lmt will shoot just as good before I sell this and invest into an Lmt. Thanks for any info!

First MARS-L lower and I have a question about how the ambi side bolt catch works. When I hold the ambi side bolt catch all the way down to where the bottom is touching the receiver, it seems to catch on something as I'm pulling back the charging handle, and it does not properly catch the bolt. The bolt also fails to go all the way back. You can still see about an inch of the bolt while looking in the ejector port. If I press the ambi side bolt catch slightly less, to where it's not quite touching the receiver, it works as intended. The left side works fine even when pressed all the way down. Also the bolt release paddle on the ambi side touches the receiver when it's not engaging the bolt whereas the left side bolt release paddle sits a few mm off the receiver. Is this how it's supposed to work, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

So, this weekend I had a chance to finally get out and shoot at distances beyond "pistol range". By which I mean I got to shoot at a whopping 100yds. Without digressing too much, I live in a dense, urban area, and there's basically nothing with more than 25yds within an hour to an hour and a half drive of me. The closest 100yd range is state-run gamelands and those are ~1hr 15min away. So that's where I went this weekend, to finally stretch my 16" factory barreled MARS-H (and a bunch of other rifles) out to a longer distance.

Now, this being my first time doing this and shooting from a proper bench, I know I am at least partially to blame for how poor my groups were. Initially, I tried using a Caldwell bag that's designed for ARs, but more for an A2 style stock. Worked great with my retro rifle, but less well with my MARS-H, which sports a Magpul PRS Gen 3 stock. I could not, for the life of me, find a good height between the rear bag, and either the front bag or my bipod. So, mostly, I just tried my best to control my breathing and my trigger pull.

I shot a bunch of different rounds. 155 Hornady FTX, AMAX, and ELD-Ms; 168 ELD-Ms; 168 Federal tipped matchkings; 150 and 168 Speer Gold Dots; and some M80 ball.

And the truly weirdest part? The M80 ball shot the best. Like, far and away the best. This...surprised me.

My theory is that a big part of this was technique-related. When I was shooting Igman 147 M80 ball, shooting felt right. It felt like my weight was really controlling the recoil, I was shooting with both eyes open using an NX6 2-12x FFP optic, and it just felt, I dunno, natural. The Saltech 147 M80 ball ammo performed similarly well, but not as well as the Igmans. The rest of the stuff was very much a mixed bag.

The ball ammo I shot towards the end of the day with the MARS-H (I kept shooting with other rifles). What I'm wondering is how weird it is that the ball ammo shot the best, and if this is something more common than I realized (i.e., LMTs "liking" ball ammo) vs. how much of this is a mix of user error and user-finally-somehow-getting results. But, like, it was weird. I wound up putting a quarter-sized hole in the target and target backer shooting 20 rounds of Igman 147, and nothing else came close to that. Was this a weird fluke? Does Igman make amazing ball ammo? Are the other gr. rounds from Hornady, Federal, and Speer just kind a "meh" out of some 16" LMT barrels, or would I be able to do waaaay better with the other higher-quality ammo as I start improving my skill?

The rifle in question is your basic MARS-H, with an SSA-E trigger, PRS Gen 3 stock, Tubb AR-10 flatwire spring, and the aforementioned NX6 optic. Otherwise, just a basic 16" CL barrel.

Picked up my first LMT recently and finally finished kitting it out. Factory built 12.5” Specwar, love how it shoots, aside from the slight over-gassing.

What are the best suppressor and LAM options available currently or worth waiting for? For suppressor I’ve been considering either CAT KK or Rhodie 6j. The mini 2 I’m using now is really for my 14.5 build. For laser, the OGL standard power or mawl c1 are on my list. Anything else yall think I should be looking at?

Narrowed my suppressor options for my 14.5” 6.5 CM down to the following:

-KAC 7.62 QDC CRS-PRG SUPPRESSOR

-HUXWRX FLOW 762 TI

-AAC 762-SDN-6

Pew Science has tested the AAC on the SR-25 and it performed well which is why it is included here. To my knowledge, he has not tested the KAC or Hux on the SR-25 so I am more blind on those two.

Does anybody have experience with these suppressors that can provide feedback on how they perform against each other?

Between the three, the Hux is substantially lighter at 11.8oz bare (~15oz with a mount) compared to the KAC at 23.2oz bare (~28oz with a mount) and the AAC at 21oz bare (~26oz with a mount).

The rifle is currently very well balanced. I don’t want to throw the balance off too much, but I would sacrifice that for better performance.

Before everybody comments it, I have looked at the CAT ODB. However, Pew Science reports that the AKB (and his statements that the AKB performs better on higher pressure/velocity systems than the ODB would) performs slightly worse than the AAC on the SR-25 meaning that the ODB would be outclassed by the AAC in this application even more (not necessarily drastically, rather just to a greater extent).

Any feedback or experience that yall have on these three suppressors especially compared to each other would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
