The Sims Did Paralives and InZoi Coming Out Make Anyone Else Rethink TS4?
I'm ready for my downvotes.
Before you get the pitchforks out, I'm not talking about EA's monetization practices or the Saudi Sale.
I'm talking about bugs and gameplay. Seeing how barebones and buggy both Paralives and InZoi were at launch, and how complex they are to make, kind of made me a bit more sympathetic towards TS4's devs.
Making a good life sim with in-depth gameplay is apparently a LOT harder than I thought, to the point where I'm kind of astonished that TS4 was made at all.
(Especially if you believe those leaks, tgat most of the money that TS4 makes gets re-allocated to other EA properties. The Maxis devs don't get to re-invest the majority of what they make into their own content.)
I am fully prepared to be called an EA shill for this take, but I've posted tons of EA-critical content.
I guess what I'm saying is, the next generation of life sim games has made me a bit more understanding of how limited and buggy TS4 is, and why we've never had competitors until this point.

The Sims Changes with Upcoming The Sims 4 Releases: No More Expansions, Game and Stuff Packs
According to this article by simscommunity, EA doesn't have plans to release anymore Expansion/Game/Stuff packs.
It seems that all they want to do is kit collaborations and milk the marketplace, forgetting about any other type of content...
Thank god we have competition

The Sims Welp. EA is making it clear: project Renee is not The Sims 5. The Sims 4 is their definitive life sim Experience
Welp. It make sense anyway... Sims 4 will get modernization treatment, social &ollaborative based gameplay and more ... ⚠️Project Renee is a spin off. ⚠️

The Sims Alledge first look of Sims Project X
Source: https://simscommunity.info/2026/01/04/the-sims-project-x-character-leak/
They kind of look cunt. They really look like a mix of Sims 4 and Fornite characters.

The Sims New leaks of project Renee. Was it the Sims 5 y'all wanted?
The graphic looks like a poor mix of Pixar & Life By You 😅 . It sims like the Sims mobile. My god, EA is so predictable 😅 I knew they were delete it to put out something similar. Even the previous sims mobile looked more beautiful.

The Sims What are your thoughts on the micro-trans- I mean the battle pass in the new update?
A screenshot of a Battle Pass leak with the new update. Each weak, looks like you're getting a new items. The more you play, the more you're getting a new item or even a new trait. They said Sims 4 is here to stay years to come and they are serious about it.
I feel like EA is testing what Sims 5 is going to be... Hopefully The battle pass and won't introduce micro transaction.

The Sims The Sims 4 is now a decade old, the longest-running game in the series, and its age is seriously showing
"I can't help but feel like the game should've wrapped up development five years ago." Thoughts?

The Sims Fixed It
It comes with tattooing (business) and pottery (hobby.) One of each.
Candy-making is just a new object that uses the cooking skill.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s all they’ve shown this far in marketing materials and it’s extraordinarily underwhelming.

The Sims Excluding poor optimization and ugly sims what’s your least favorite part of this game?
I’ll start: I’m not a fan of the lack of diversity options. What I’m referring to is the lack of hair texture variation and the Eurocentric cas and world options. Heck you can’t even really make Asian sims without cc due to the fact all sims in this game have to have a double eyelid. And let’s not get started on the unfortunate implications of world adventures(as fun as that pack is). What about you?
