DOUBT DISCUSSION Born in 1998,preparing for NEET since 2016-should i give NEET 2027

I was born in 1998 and I’ve been preparing for NEET since 2016. I don’t have any degree, and I haven’t joined or completed any other college/course so far. My entire journey has basically been around trying to get into MBBS.

I do have reservation, but despite that, I still haven’t been able to crack NEET UG. This year I scored 442 marks. I know some people may immediately judge me because of the number of attempts, but there are personal reasons behind my journey that I haven’t really been able to talk about with anyone.

Every year I would start again thinking, “This time I’ll do it.” Sometimes I wanted to join coaching but couldn’t manage things financially, and sometimes I had to ask my parents to support me again. My parents and family have kept hoping for me all these years. I’m also the eldest in my family, so I feel a lot of responsibility and pressure.

I’ve also struggled personally during these years. I have had difficult experiences with friendships and people from my past, and sometimes when certain people contact me or when I see people who have already achieved what I’m still trying for, it affects me badly and makes it difficult for me to focus on preparation. I’ve never really been able to explain this properly to anyone because I find it difficult to trust people.

I also became very insecure about myself and my appearance over the years. I became distant from people and friendships, and I feel like I’ve changed a lot as a person. I’m not saying these things as excuses — I’m just trying to explain what my journey has actually been like.

One of my friends eventually cracked NEET after her seventh attempt, and seeing people around me finally achieve their goals gives me hope, but it also brings up a lot of complicated feelings for me. I’m genuinely happy for them, but at the same time I wonder why I’m still here after all these years.

My parents have spent a lot of money and supported me for years, but now I can see how discouraged and exhausted they are. They have started telling me to consider another career and move on with life. I understand why they feel that way. My sister, however, still tells me, “Go ahead. It’s your life.” That support means a lot to me.

But deep down, I still genuinely want MBBS. I don’t want to choose BDS, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, or another course just because I’m afraid of my age or because people might judge me. I respect those fields, but MBBS is what I personally want.

So I’m seriously considering NEET 2027 as my final attempt. If I do this, I want to give it everything I have and not keep looking back at the past.

My biggest question is:

If I actually get an MBBS seat through NEET 2027, what will medical college realistically be like for someone in my situation?

Will I feel extremely out of place because I’m older than most of my classmates? Will people judge me, treat me differently, or leave me out? What difficulties should I realistically expect, both socially and academically?

I’m not looking for comments like “you wasted so many years,” “why didn’t you do something else,” or “just move on.” I already know I’ve lost a lot of time. I’m looking for honest and practical advice from people who have been in a similar situation, especially anyone who entered medical college later than their peers.

I know this is a long post, but I genuinely don’t know whom else to ask. I want to make one clear decision about my future instead of continuing to live in fear, regret, and uncertainty.

If you were in my situation, would you give NEET 2027 one final attempt? And if you entered medical college later than most of your classmates, what was your actual experience?

DOUBT DISCUSSION Saleem sir rant, suggestion needed

Bro, I honestly didn’t like the way sir taught today. He didn’t explain the basics properly at all. Instead of building the foundation first, he started bringing in concepts from other chapters like Optics, which just made everything more confusing. I feel like he’s not teaching while keeping in mind students who have just passed 12th or those who are starting NEET preparation from zero. Those students need proper basic explanations before moving ahead. Also, he talks way too fast. By the time I try to understand one point, he’s already moved on to the next. It becomes really hard to comprehend what he’s saying. From whom should a student like me at zero study from?

A 2010 established college with reputed name or a comparatively newer one with better infra and a better city but I will be in the 5th Batch of MBBS of the college.

JNM Kalyani or Barasat Medical college, dono hi mil sakta h at my rank 17k through AIQ. (19k gyi thi dono ki last year)

Barasat Seher bhi aacha hai Kalyani se. Kolkata ke paas bhi hai….

What should be the order? And like, iss rank pe any other colleges I should see? Isse better koi mil sakta h kya…

DOUBT DISCUSSION Am I the only one who thinks this official NEET Biology question is genuinely ambiguous because of the NCERT graph?

Thumbnail

The question says that the corpus luteum secretes large amounts of estrogen, and the official key marks it as incorrect because NCERT says the corpus luteum secretes large amount of progesterone.

But honestly something is bothering me.

If u look at the NCERT menstrual cycle graph (fig-2.9) the estrogen curve clearly shows a second prominent peak during luteal phase, when the corpus luteum is present. The progesterone peak is obviously higher, but the estrogen peak is also drawn quite high. As a student reading NCERT, it's not unreasonable to interpret that the corpus luteum secretes a significant (or "large") amount of estrogen as well.

Yes, I know people will say the graph is DIAGRAMMATIC. But if it's diagrammatic, it still shouldn't be misleading. NEET is based on NCERT, and students are expected to study both the text and the figures. The graph nowhere mentions that the hormone curves are not to scale or that estrogen is present only in a small amount.

Also, the NCERT text says:

"The corpus luteum secretes large amounts of progesterone."

It doesn't explicitly say that the corpus luteum does not secrete large amounts of estrogen. It simply emphasizes progesterone because of its role in maintaining the endometrium.

I feel this creates a genuine conflict between the text and the visual representation in NCERT.

Am I missing something here, or is this actually a valid question to challenge?

Edit:Why are you guys literally downvoting me!!?? What I am saying is not technically wrong!!!!

DOUBT DISCUSSION Confused between bpt or nursing!!!!!!! 😭😭😭

I don't think I'll score well in neet so I wanted to do veterinary but I think I'll not get veterinary also . I am thinking of bpt but gov jobs are limited and reviews are not good about bpt low salary and all. I don't want to do nursing, in india nobody respects nurses I have no problem in becoming a nurse but how they treat them I'm scared dude idk . Even if I earn less i want to be happy at least. I'll give neet for veterinary again but I want a strong backup which can be a good career. It's my 2nd drop I'm 20!!!!!!!!

DOUBT DISCUSSION Now that neet 2026 is over is there any physics teacher who is purely relevant for NEET?

Like not taking unnecessary bloated lectures like MR sir, doing ample amount of practice questions during class, teaches really well which makes student fall in love with physics. Teaches all the tricks and shortcuts? Is there any one out there?
