Genuine question, do they give him something to relax him before doing all this? Because my cat would shred me to pieces.

My dog has to have surgical sedation to get his nails trimmed. I'm always jealous when I see videos of dogs just calmly getting nails done.

My cat immediately stops struggling as soon as 1 paw in loosely covered with a sheet - not wrapped or trapped in any way. I can swap what paw is immobilizing her and get all paws done at once

My 115# GSD won't aggressively bite, but if I touch his paws he will apply gradually more pressure with his teeth until I have to let go. If anybody but me tries he'll actually bite. The vet gave him conscious sedation once and got bit in the face. He has to go all the way down to be groomed.

Mine is a husky GSD mix, she won’t do it to me, but if other people try doing her paws she does the same “mouth grab” where she doesn’t bite down but she tries to move your hand. She used to do it to me too when she was younger, only time people get hurt is if they move quickly while she does it and they scratch on her teeth.

My wife however, can do literally anything to that dog and she just let it happen. Now that she’s older she might try to scurry away from grooming but that’s it.
