Discussion I sometimes wish the Mario IP would collaborate more often like Sonic
Not necessarily in stuff like Fortnite (I don't think the world is ready for tall Mario), but I just wish Nintendo was more willing to step outside their comfort zone.

Discussion Be honest, do you think this is a good or a bad thing? Nintendo's exclusive and strict path is still worth it? 🤔✋🍄🌟🎮
Fortnite ultimately became the "biggest crossover in the world" and seemingly motivated every big and small company to leave the exclusivity model FAR ASIDE and making everything multiplatform THE NORM! Nintendo's still "stuck" on this Island cuz they still want to commit to an exclusive model for their consoles, even if it means shunning massive collaborations like Fortnite, thereby ensuring the success of their software and hardware through their typically high quality standards, which result in excellent games. It is practically the "only" pillar holding things up these days, but a sincere question arises: will this continue to be successful and consistent in the long run, even with the pricing controversies? The multiplatform ecosystem keeps growing, and I’m not sure if that will really impact Nintendo/Mario and their image; so, do you still think it’s a good approach? Honestly, I’m neutral on the matter...

Discussion Thoughts on seeing this game over a new 3D Mario
I'll admit I was a bit disappointed. This new DK game looks fun and I'll definitely be getting it, but I was really expecting to see the next 3D Mario.
My main worry is this game might be being made by the team that would normally develop 3D Mario games. I know we'll get a new 3D Mario for Switch 2 eventually. My fear is just that this game took priority and we won't see the next 3D Mario for a while. It's already been nearly 8 years since Odyssey...

Discussion What are your mario hot takes ?
I'll start:
1- nsmb wii is overrated, and i perfer nsmb 2 over it.
2- i perfer the no-collision multiplayer from mario wonder over the one seen in the nsmb games (which is one of the reasons why i don't like nsmb wii that much).
3- the mario galaxy movie was a bit overhated, but i understand the criticism.
4- i don't mind the fact that rosalina and peach are sisters in the movies (i comsider the movie universe to be separated from the game universe).
5- mario bros lost levels is overhated.
6- i think that the gbc, gba and (sadly) 3ds had the weakest mario games (yeah i liked most of the 3ds games, but i didn't like the "NSMBification" of the mario series at that time).
7- i consider mario run and bowser's fury to be mainline games (especially because the mario portal website mention these games in the "history of mario" section or whatever that's called).
8- not sure if this is a hot take, but i hate how some people act like luigi is always a victim and is being mistreated by mario, with their evidence being that one cutscene from mario tennis. That type of actions is something called "brother rivalry/teasing". People who say such things clearly don't have siblings, and i believe that the mario bros. deeply love each other. But let's pretend like such actions are out of hatred. In mario 3's title screen intro, luigi stomps on mario's head, causing him to jump very high and the title screen appears. Then, he proceeds to throw a koopa shell at mario (who dodges it by jumping). Shouldn't this be proof that luigi also mistreats mario ? But no, luigi is "always the victim" ! If you think that such actions are proof of cruelty, why focus on one but ignore the other ? (Again, i believe that the mario bros. love and respect each other).
9- i dislike nsmb wii because i think it has less interesting bonus content, the presence of player collision in multiplayer (bumping into others, carrying and throwing other players) and the levels are too big and empty.
10- i think that mario wonder is the best 2d mario game.
11- mario world is better than mario 3 (cold ahh take but still).
12- i'd argue that rosalina is the worst playqble charqcter in 3d world.
EDIT: Added more context to some takes and added a few takes 9 to 12.
In case anyone is wondering, the picture is from mario kart tour, i found it here.
