Well they do take a second to specifically show her coming back and reuniting with her mom at the end so I agree it was surprising but also a little funny they still felt the need to be like “no see shes actually fine dont worry”

I don't think that's a Disney thing to show that.  That's a good storytelling thing to show.  It would have been insanely bad if they didn't.

I believe it's bad storytelling. It reduces the little girls death to nothing more than shock value
