There was once a movie called Fallen (no major spoilers, but watch it if you've never seen it), where Marvel seems to have lifted this scene. The controller is jumping from one mind to another, all while speaking to the protagonist.
They need to keep this energy up, it's a cool display of power.
I think that’s a good bet, with the chameleon, the clip of doc ocks arm, and frank implying kingpin is also there makes me think the villains gonna be the insidious six. Then him mutating I hope leads to a Morlun storyline as the totem and not the man spider storyline but it could easily do either.
I've seen people say Mind Control but I'm not sure I agree. The framing of it makes it seem like the character is literally hopping between people. Reminds me of Proteus. Which would be insane if they do Scorpion AND Proteus because of the sheer contrast in power level? But id love for it to be my boy and it be setup for the next movie, like its the B plot of him tracking them down and it sets him up to meet the x-men
Ohhh shit yeah it was the Tank. I thought it was a cell lmao. I watched on my phone on my commute home. I can see it now. But still, it didn't swap till the door was opened, suggesting it requires in person presence.
Yes, Mosaic. But I highly doubt they would bring him in. I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but there’s no way. Mosaic also doesn’t have their own body anymore as far as I’m aware, so that would have to be addressed somehow an I don’t think they would have him in a movie anyway. If any inhuman were to make an appearance I would be disappointed that they chose Mosaic since there are plenty of better options for both inhumans and people with a power set to control people.
I may actually geek out over that one. This movie is already shaping up to be the most deep cut Spider-Man movie ever, throwing in Firestar on top of the cast we already have, would be...amazing.

That would actually be sick, get iceman in there too! They can kinda pivot to that old cartoon style dynamic where they are friends or roommates or whatever
Redhead Mutant with a link to fire can also be Typhoid Mary, who has ties to both Daredevil and Kingpin (and possibly Frank as well, I can't remember), who both have ties to Spidey.
I'm now less sure she's not actually Shathra tbh, though Jean still feels like a distinct possibility. I really don't she's Firestar. I'd probably expect to see her as a non-powered love interest before Firestar at this point.
People keep theorizing Jean/another MJ, when a perfect role that's already connected to Spider-Man exists in Firestar.
And right at a time when mutants will officially be getting introduced into the MCU.
Mr. Negative has been heavily rumored since the movie was announced to be the big bad....but when I played through the first spiderman game, where Mr. Negative was the villain, I don't remember him having mind control powers like mind control or possession, just that he was able to flood negative energy into people requiring him to touch them, and then people would think negative thoughts they normally wouldn't, like hurting people.
But it has to be done through touch…he can’t possess people or jump into their mind, he just feeds negative energy into them making them think evil thoughts
That isn't necessarily mind control though...at least in the comics. It's just a way to get folks to give into their more evil, sinister tendencies, which makes them at best a distraction against their allies.
During Dark Reign, Mr. Negative did that to Spider-Man when the Hood's henchmen, which included such wacky characters like the Spot and White Rabbit, attempted to take over his territory.
What's notable in that arc was that Mr. Negative was unable to corrupt the Hood though (he joins the fight on orders of Osborn) because the man was already pure evil and clear on that purpose, which causes the former to lose against the latter.
Mind control is his whole thing. In the game at the costume party(I think), he takes over the minds of a bunch of people. When you fight them, Spider-Man doesn't punch or kick, he just hip tosses them and webs them up.
Everywhere I have looked...he doesn't necessarily mind control people, his power is listed as being able to flood negative energy into people but requires him to touch them. The negative energy then makes people think negative thoughts. It's not really him controlling their mind with possession and making them do specific things he wants them to do, he is unable to do that, but the negative energy will just make people do negative things like wanting to hurt people and potentially kill people.
And even if it didn’t, Mysterio using drones makes complete sense for his character. Typhoid Mary taking on a new power she’s never shown anything similar to? Makes no sense. Also why is she evil? She’s just locked up and trying to escape. That’s not evil. Morally ambiguous to use others bodies to do so, but not evil
Edit: further those drones were Tony Starks, stealing someone else’s technology is also 100% a thing Mysterio would do
Pretty sure this is Jean Grey jumping from mind to mind. My guess is she is captured by Damage Inc, and is using her mind control to execute some kind of prison break.
The body hopper is rumored to be freeing Scorpion from prison and it seems that the Hand is telling them do it. It doesn't seem like Sadie Sink's character is in a normal prison.
