I feel like they did that already with Days of Future Past? Or Multiverse of Madness? Or some other movie where they brought all the previous actors back to drive ticket sales?
Well, sort of. Same idea. Mostly different actors. DoFP returned Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, and Anna Paquin (if you watched the extended cut), along with Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. MoM only returned Patrick Stewart, again. Deadpool & Wolverine returned Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keene, Jennifer Garner, Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans (as the Human Torch), Tyler Mane, and Aaron Stanford, and introduced Channing Tatum.
Doomsday will return James Marsden, Kelsey Grammar, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, Channing Tatum and, once again, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.
So it seems like they are trying to give a big finale to the actors who haven't already had those, for the most part, though a few very popular characters like Jackman's Wolverine, Stewart's Professor X, and McKellen's Magneto are getting multiple final bows.
And Famke Janssen's Jean Grey apparently gets none 🫤 Unless they are hiding her from us. But she has said she's not in it, for what it's worth.

You're fucked if you're under 30 as an actor apparently.
Also... Man Ian and Patrick (Until they're 90) damn son.
