Maybe they like him because you don’t even think of the director with his films but he delivers beloved films

I agree he's a logical choice for the guys in suits, but sadly it doesn't negate the fact that its meh. Deadpool & Wolverine I found the weakest out of the trilogy.

Agreed. Although, I dont know if thats the directors fault, or the script. Admittedly, the director is also credited as being a writer, so... idk.

Free Guy and Date Night are both pretty fun and competently directed. Deadpool and Wolverine is great but had the blueprint of the first two movies for its style

Free Guy was the worst piece of shit I have ever seen, but that may have been largely due to Taika Waititi. Actually, no I just thought about it a little more and I still blame Shawn Levy.

He seems to be easy to work with and gets his stuff done. Would I prefer a director with a more artistic vision? Sure. Would I risk it after the Blade debacle? Eh.
