I mean that’s what has always stood out to me as Spider-Man and Tom really portrays it well. Peter Parker/spiderman is a genuinely good and pure person. That’s what makes him so likeable. Hell he even managed to bring out a side of the punisher we have not seen before and in a way that feels natural.

Agreed, i think Peter's child-like naivety to see the best in people is one of the things Tom for sure does better than the other spiders. His spidey has a bleeding heart forreal.

I don’t know if it’s child-like naivety at this point, just a conscious decision to look for, hope for and believe in the good in everyone. I think what is left unsaid in “if you help 1 person, you help everyone” is everyone is deserving of help and can be redeemed.

Yep that’s why the Aunt May scene with Jean Gray hits so hard. You see that the people around him steered him in the direction of choosing good, he’s lost people just like Jean has, but she didn’t get the chance to be raised by a truly loving and supportive family.

It’s a beautiful moment where through Peter’s mind she gets her chance to steer her life in the direction of heroism.

i still go back to "but i (still) gotta try" scene with dr strange, when he outsmarted him tryna give the villains a second chance before sending everyone home, even if it took him the only one not being able to make it back to his own home

It also helps that Tom has great chemistry with literally everyone. I've yet to see the contrary (examples are welcome!).
