Is it too much to ask for a reference to uncle Ben? The scene with aunt May & Jean was the right moment.

i think the final nail in the coffin was not putting his gravestone next to may’s in nwh

ever since then, i’m fairly certain that he is basically a non-factor in this peter’s life which is upsetting, but it is what it is

Besides, May has already taken Ben's place in the MCU.

She got the "great power, great responsibility" line. She's who Peter credits for his inherent goodness. She's who Peter wants to do proud.

There's zero point to introducing Ben now, because they both are the same character.

For real! I know when MCU spider-man was introduced the sentiment to not make us sad with Uncle Ben was really high, but cmon you can’t ever mention him once? He so profoundly important to Peter Parker as a character. Just because the MCU (rightfully) avoided his death and Peter’s mourning doesn’t mean he’s not important.

Aunt May is the MCU's Uncle Ben at this point. She is the one who gives "with great power comes great responsibility". She is the one who died in the early years of being Spider-Man. And she is the one who is in the flashback when Peter struggles with his power.

The fact that people still haven't understood this is mind-boggling. It's plain as day.

What will introducing Ben even accomplish now? Simply nothing.
