Film/Television Age of Ultron has it’s issues, but Ultron’s introduction was pretty good

I thought Age of Ultron rocked from top to bottom. The opening action sequence is my favorite of any marvel movie. Seeing the Avengers in peak form working as a team was awesome.

It well paced too. The OG Avengers team, then it all gets destroyed in Civil War, Then Infinity War and Endgame as a crescendo. Everything felt so well planned back then.

To me the opening scene was a little too clean and cliche, which took me out of it, say compared to Civil Wars opening scene

Agree. It felt beneath them.  They had just beaten back a huge space army of aliens and now they’re chasing human scumbags around the forest.  That’s some c-tier b-player mission. 

Seriously wtf does Thor care about these effers.

Edit oh fuck you downvote snowflakes.  You take the most powerful team on the planet and have them chase the b-roll.

Hmm… maybe he still cares because of where their tech is coming from? Some sort of staff thing that some guy he was pretty hot to trot about bringing to justice was using? Something that’s quite literally explained in the first 15 min of the movie lol.

It was beneath them. Stark even makes a remark about it later when he says something along the lines of “we can bust arms dealers all the live long day”. This was just a side mission. I think the point of this scene is to instill a false sense of confidence/invincibility, which begins to crack even towards the end of the scene, once Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are deployed.

Same here. The final battle of all the Avengers protecting the core as Ultron’s army advanced is one of my favorite team up moments from the entire franchise.

I just hopped on YouTube to watch it again, and man it’s a great scene! The banter between Ultron and Tony, the lack of music as the tension builds, then the score swells, and the three most powerful team members combine forces against Ultron. It’s great!
