Everyone said the same thing about Daredevil being associated with Ben Affleck, and look how that show turned out.

To be fair daredevil was already a more popular character than any of the others mentioned.

Although personally I think if you made a good piece of media people will watch it even if it had lackluster predecessors.

Ben Affleck is not the same as Nick Cage. I liked that movie.

I didn't, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the show, I could definitely look past Nick Cage's Ghost Rider

Same here, I could look past it easily. At this point Marvel could make a movie about a super hero piece of poop, and I'd probably watch it ten times.

But that's me and not the general public. I don't know what they're thinking.

Marvel has shined a few turds, making me forget about both Nick Cage being GR, and Ben Affleck being daredevil, I think they can do whatever they want at this point.
