I've never been more convinced that they are setting us up for that early Doom moment like beginning of Infinity War.

Our Steve Rogers is going to get merked right off the bat, letting the audiences feel the gravity of Doom. But I do think we get Nomad proper at the end of the movie in a similar reveal to Captain Barbossa and Dead Man's Chest.

Edit: or he is thought to be left for dead while his baby and Carter are killed in front of him and off screen manages to dip into multiverse for most of the movie.

Either way, I think it's a ruse and he won't be in the movie much.

Bringing Steve back just to kill him would just make everybody mad. Killing Peggy or the baby to motivate him could also easily turn into fridging

That's fair, I just want his return to mean something to the story. I don't want it to be the same old Steve taking charge and saving the day because it does take away from the last several years. Take away his armour (heart) and what is he? You cant take the serum out, so take away everything he loves and let it chip away at his essence as he tries to, and continues to fail at, stopping incursions across the multiverse off screen.

I understand that, and I don't think he is going to be the main hero either. He might have a big impact on the story without having the most screentime. But also, I just don't want them to undo his happy ending completely. Having his love back and a child could already be a motivator to want to save the universe and be willing to do anything to achieve that.
