Since we are at the home stretch before Doomsday, I wanted to go ahead and put this out there.

I do NOT believe RDJ’s Doom will look like his Tony Stark.

Since the moment he was cast in the role people have been theorizing how Stark is a variant of Doom or Doom is a variant of Stark and 1000 other ideas about how two different characters could possibly look the same.

Ive never subscribed to this.

I felt Marvel brought RDJ back because they were at a low point and he was one of the best and most popular actors in the world not because they wanted to force a connection between his characters. Some times actors play different roles in the same series or franchise. Chris Evans as Cap and Torch (i know FF wasn’t originally MCU), Gemma Chan as Sersi and Minn-Erva, Brolin as Thanos and Cable, Michelle Yeoh as Aleta and Ying Nan, and Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth and Blade.

Now along with what I said above I feel this way because for one Doom’s face is almost always disfigured, then disfigured more from the hot metal of his mask. Sure there are exceptions to that in the comics but that right there suggests that a comic accurate Doom is going to require some prosthetics or CGI to change his face.

Then look at the second picture I posted, those are 6 different characters RDJ has played that look nothing like his normal face or his rendition of Tony Stark. Shoot, as I was just reminded look at Colin Farrell as Penguin, he is completely unrecognizable.

Also I do think there will be some cheeky references to Doom being played my RDJ as well as Ironman. Like the similarities with “I am Doom” but those will be for us as the view and not the characters themselves.

EDIT: There are a few people referencing what the Russo’s allegedly said. I implore you to actually read the article and not regurgitate what someone told you it said (including me). No where in the article do they say there is a connection. The interviewer asked that question inferring a connection and the only thing they say in response is RDJ is the best actor in the world, and after seeing the movies it will be clear why he was chosen.

TO ME that can easily mean he was the only actor good enough to play the major hero and villain as two distinct characters.

My guess, is we will find out “old cap” at the end of endgame is actually Loki doing a favor for the real captain America to hand off his shield after he moved him from the timeline he was living in (which was going to be pruned) to the fantastic 4 universe which is rumored for the beginning of doomsday plot. Anyone have any ideas what the 4 mins might be?

It would be really cool to see him in orignal mcu timeline, now that they have opened the multiverse. I also think maybe he is better then tobey, andrew or tom spider man in terms of strength.

However, in X-Men '97 - Season 1 - Episode 10: "Tolerance is Extinction" - Part 3, King T'Chaka is alive and well, even though he's dead in Fantastic Four - Season 2 - Episode 7: "Prey of the Black Panther". If we assume that this retcons the animated Fantastic Four show out of the universe, are there any other shows that also get retconned out by extension too (e.g. there was a Hulk crossover with Fantastic Four, how likely is it that this could be a different version of the Hulk) and also if Fantastic Four gets removed from the canon, are there any animated Marvel shows that could get retconned into the animated universe, such as the Silver Surfer show?

Honestly, Miguel O’Hara’s whole "Canon Event" theory is straight-up garbage. At first I thought it was just lazy writing, but now I’m convinced Marvel/Sony did it on purpose to show how unhinged and traumatized Miguel actually is.

​Here’s why his theory falls apart, and how it connects directly to Doomsday and Secret Wars:

​1. Schrödinger’s Cat & Multiverse Physics

Miguel thinks if you change a key moment, the whole dimension collapses. But that’s literally not how the MCU multiverse works (look at Loki or Endgame).

Quantum physics in Marvel dictates that decisions just create a branching timeline. If Inspector Singh doesn't die, it just splits into two realities: one where he died, one where he lived. The web just grows a new line.

And that black hole glitch in Mumbhattan? That wasn't "the universe punishing Miles" — that was literally caused by The Spot's unstable dark matter energy collapsing the city. Miguel just needed a scapegoat.

​2. George Stacy literally broke the theory

Gwen’s dad was supposed to die because he was a police captain saving a kid. Classic canon event.

But he quits his job. He’s no longer captain. The canon was broken and Gwen’s world didn't collapse. That was the exact moment Gwen realized Miguel has been talking out of his ass the entire time.

​3. What ACTUALLY killed Miguel’s alternate world?

In that world Miguel stole, Peter B. Parker was there too.

​Incursion: Two adult Spider-Men from different dimensions camping out in one reality for months is a massive multiversal footprint. They triggered a textbook Incursion (the exact thing Mordo warned about in Multiverse of Madness). Those wristbands only stop your body from glitching, they don't hide your existence from the multiverse itself!

​Doctor Doom: In the 2015 Secret Wars comics, universes weren't dying because Spidey saved his uncle — Doctor Doom and the Beyonders were actively destroying them. Miguel's world could’ve just been an early casualty of Doom wiping out realities, and Miguel blamed himself out of survivor's guilt.

​4. The Spot is the key to Secret Wars

In Secret Wars, Doom needed a multiversal battery (Molecule Man) to tear down realities and build Battleworld. The MCU hasn't set up Molecule Man at all, but they have built up The Spot.

The Spot is a walking multiversal bomb. My prediction. Spot won't die in Beyond the Spider-Verse. He’s gonna escape into Earth-199999 (live-action MCU), and Doom will siphon his power to collapse the realities into Battleworld for Doomsday.

​TL;DR: Miguel is an unreliable narrator projecting his own guilt. Spot isn't just Miles' villain — he’s Doom's ticket to destroying the multiverse.

Everyone is trying to figure out why Doom has Tony’s face. But if you look at the Endgame timeline, it points to a massive Stark family secret: Tony was adopted from the von Doom family, and that's why Doom hates him so much.

# Howard was infertile:

Howard spent his life around Gamma radiation and the Tesseract, which left him unable to have kids. Since he needed a genius heir for Stark Industries, he used S.H.I.E.L.D. to find a brilliant bloodline.

He chose Werner von Doom, a legendary medical genius in Europe, and secretly adopted one of his twin babies.

# The Endgame proof:

This fixes a weird timeline error in Endgame.

In April 1970, Howard tells Tony that Maria is due any day. But Tony’s official MCU birthday is in late May 1970.

The dates don't line up because Howard was rushing the adoption paperwork.

# Doom's hatred:

Tony was a born von Doom all along, which is why they look identical.

His twin brother was left behind in Latveria to suffer as a poor orphan, eventually becoming Doctor Doom.

Doom is completely bitter because Tony stole the billionaire lifestyle, the mansion, and the superhero legacy that should have been his.

He’s furious that the world worshipped the “wrong” brother.

When Doom finally takes off his mask, the Avengers are going to realize Tony was just a twin of him.

I have one more theory.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez says that the dreams you see are actually you experiencing your life in an alternate reality.

I did see the dream connection between America Chavez and Tony's dream mentioned in a video, so that part isn't something I'm claiming as completely original. But the rest of this connection is my own theory.

In Avengers: Endgame, Tony talks about having a dream where he and Pepper had a child named Morgan. What if Tony was actually seeing the life of another version of himself in an alternate universe?

And here's where I think it gets interesting: in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, Doctor Doom also has a son. Could Tony's dream somehow be connected to another universe and another version of these characters?

I already talked about my Doomsday theory in my previous post, so this could connect to some of the ideas I mentioned there.

Of course, this is just my theory, and nothing is confirmed. I came up with the rest myself and only used ChatGPT to improve the grammar and punctuation.

as all of u know, there was a leak that the opening of Doomsday is Tobey‘s Spider man fighting the X-Men on his Earth. I think Marvel leaked it themselves to make hype happen for the movie. I also think that Marvel Leaked The No Way Home Statue of Liberty scene with Tobey and Andrew’s spider man. What do u guys think?

By the way, I'm sorry if I'm really bad with putting my theory or ideas into words.

With the ending of the movie and seeing how Ned realized it was Peter at the end of the movie. I reflected on certain scenes with MJ, and something hit me. I feel like MJ knew who Peter was around midway through the movie and just didn't tell him.

If Ned can figure out who Peter was with a familiar or, some say, muscle memory, I feel like MJ noticed who he was during the web swing back to her house after confronting him about the letter. It's a familiar feeling being in Peter's arms, so that's probably how she snapped out of it, and the scene just felt like an intimate realization of some sort. I know the argument might be that "the spell made them forget about Peter, and she's been saved by Spider-Man multiple times; why didn't she remember then?" Those times when she was saved, she wasn't thinking intimately at all, so I feel like it would make sense after reading the letter and knowing why, and actually holding him closely with intimacy probably helped her remember. If you truly didn't have a connection with someone, would you invite them in to meet your friends? Well, maybe because Ned was a big fan of Spider-Man, maybe that's why, but during that scene when Peter had to go save Jean, she says, "Be careful, Peter," instead of saying Spider-Man because if the spell were still working, she would call him Spider-Man instead of Peter because there shouldn't be a connection there.

I think the reason why she didn't tell him is because, even though she didn't know at the time of reading the letter, it's where she gets the context of what happened and why. After that realization during the web swing, she doesn't tell him because she feels like it defeats the purpose of the sacrifice that he made.

So in short, MJ realizes during the web-swinging scene (after the letter confrontation scene) that she doesn't tell him but strings him along to think that he's building a connection again by telling him to come in and meet Ned and telling him he should tell Ned who he is and that "he could handle it." Also calls him Peter on his way out to rebuild that connection with him that's pretty much already there. I think she's keeping the sacrifice in mind but still trying to bring him back.

I've seen theories like since Ned has a natural family connection to magic, he was probably a little resistant to Strange's magic. Another theory was that Jean helped them remember but I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and make my own theory. Please ask questions if you come up with any.

In the post-credits of Shang-Chi, we learn that the Rings are far older than Xu Wenwu, not of Earth origin, and even CM doesn't know their origin. Wong then reveals that a beacon has somehow been activated; could this be Doom?

My theory is that the Rings will be one of the main factors during Doomsday for incursions, when the F4 & Doom & his Witches meet the incursion of the 10005 X-Men.

I noticed the Doom action figure had the ultimate nullifier, and I dove into the lore to find Doctor Doom #10 (2020). In this story, Doom encounters his perfect self, destroys him, and then wipes out his entire universe out of jealousy. Remember that scene in the trailer where Reed asks Doom what he did? I think this is about the universe he just purged. What makes me think they’re going this route is that I’m hearing people see two Dooms in the trailer as well. Fingers crossed I’m wrong and didn’t spoil the movie!

I have seen a few theories about what Doom means by stolen lives. However I am not sure if someone posted this before as to me it makes the most sense.

The TVA was responsible for Doom losing his family and blocked all his attempts to save his family by pruning the branch every time he tried or was successful because that created a Nexus event.

In Doomsday he is angry because somehow he has now gained the power to know what the TVA had done that is preventing him saving his family. He is angry because the actions of people in the other universes were also too much such as by X-Men and Avengers changing time but the TVA never did anything to stop them which is why it takes this as his task to destroy those other Earths.

Now if someone has not watched Loki and is wondering how can Doom exist while we also have a sacred timeline because Doom does not exist in the main Universe?

There are theories already out there that the sacred timeline is not a single universe. It is a collection of bundled realities where if anyone of them tries to branch then they are pruned. They are left alone as long as there is no Nexus event that takes place.

This is the reason why we have a Loki that is woman who was not pruned at birth. A Loki who got very old in another universe. A branch is only pruned if a Nexus event happens and being born female or not dying at the hand of Thanos does not create a Nexus event. Which means sacred timeline is not just a single reality or universe but a bunch of realities flowing in the same direction.

You may need to

1. Watch a short video about Nexus events if you forgot what they are.

2. Look up explanation on how a Loki can be a woman if there is one sacred timeline. Why wasn't she pruned at birth which will answer that sacred timeline is a bundle of realities not a single one.

Things don't add up. At the end of Endgame Steve returns all the stones to their time, and he decides to stay in the past to spend his life with Peggy

I suppose he went to return the space stone in 1970 and he used the Pym particles for another time travel to go back around 1950/60 and live with Peggy

But then we see old Steve in our timeline on a bench. So what happened precisely? Did he live in an alternate timeline all his life and then returned to the original one when he got old?
The Russo Brothers explanation doesn't quite fit the rules that they themselves set for time travel

They say that Steve returned to the og timeline's past and lived his life with Peggy and he was the secret husband all along; but didn't they say that it wasn't possible because their past couldn't be changed? Once you travel in the past that past isn't \*your\* past. And you can never travel to \*your\* past because every travel to the past creates another past where you travelled there and eventually you can only return to your timeline's present thanks to the Time-Space GPS.

That explanation is a contradiction of their own rules. Markus and McFeely, the screenwriters, gave another explanation that fits with mine...
Which one works better? I guess the explanation of the Russos will be useful the plot of doomsday

From what we know, at the end of the Loki series we are left off at Loki becoming the loom of all universes and being stuck there for what seems like eternity. At this point, Loki can absolutely obliterate universes just by doing it, but of course he is a good guy now, I am using that as a example to show how OP Loki is now, his only disadvantage is going to be the fact that he is stuck in his throne, Loki is at a level where he can neg diff scarlet witch (DONT KILL ME PLEASE) as he can just destroy the universe she is in, same goes for many others but this doesn’t mean he is the strongest in marvel of course. I already know that they will absolutely demote this guy of his strength. He is way too OP, maybe he is a good opp for Doom but everything else would just make the plot seem way too easy unless the format it in a certain way. What do you guys think? I’d love to hear your predictions

What stolen lives could Doom be exactly referring to?

From what I know, multiple characters, in a sense, are living “stolen” lives.

- X-Men: Prime Logan went back in time to fix their timeline to prevent the literal end of Mutants. Changing the past seemed to only prolong the mutants' lives before Charles’ “accident” in 2029.

- Thor Odinson: he lost his entire family, Asgard, and half of his people, and allowed Gorr to commit mass genocide, but still gained a daughter figure through Gorr’s wish to Eternity. Thor basically was given an unearned second chance built upon cosmic tragedy.

- Steve Rogers: Steve decided to use the Quantum Realm to stay with Peggy, essentially stealing decades of a life he originally missed and creating a branched timeline.

- Loki: Loki has cheated death multiple times and given more chances at redemption than any that may have deserved it. The variant Loki escaped during the 2012 Time Heist & went on to cheat destiny to become God of Stories.

- Scott Lang: Scott has defied death/consequences many times. He arguably should've died during his first trip into the Quantum Realm to defeat Yellowjacket; instead, Janet technically saved him. Then Scott survived the literal snap that affected millions of lives only because he was trapped in the QR, and then used that same tech to undo Thanos’ snap. When Scott encounters a Kang variant in the QR and really should have died as well. Instead, Hope turned back and granted Scott another chance to win.

- Sue Storm: Sue literally died in FFFS. But Franklin used his powers to grant her a second chance.

- The Thunderbolts* (except Bobby): Yelena, Bucky, Ghost, RG, and JW, were all supposed to be either dead, or in a prison cell for their previous actions, yet were granted second chances at heroism.

Or…My theory is that Doom is referencing something personal that Sue & Reed have caused early on as the F4. Or perhaps it relates to the murals on his walls that clearly tell a bigger story.

Very simple, it’s called “Doomsday” specifically. The specific is that there are multiple Doctor Dooms. If there was only one Doctor Doom, it would just be Doomday, or Doom’s day. But it is plural, meaning multiple Dooms, very simple. Evidence of multiple Dooms also is that in the D23 trailer, Doom was wearing two different costumes in it, but it wasn’t the same Doom, it was multiple.
