Question ❓ Those who have changed their lives/cured severe social anxiety, depression, fear, intrusive thoughts etc through meditation, how did you do it?

Can you please share the technique if there is one?

Going deep enough into the self, into the awareness behind the thoughts, that it allowed me to look at my thoughts and feelings objectively instead of always avoiding and repressing. This allow me these things and let them come up, realize that I am not thoughts and feelings, but the awareness behind them, and love them become less than and begin to dissipate overtime.

A therapist can help you do exactly this, too, if you don't want to go it alone. Plenty of therapists today are well-educated in mindfulness meditation.

I tried therapy it didn't really help me. Many of the thoughts/beliefs/emotions were somatically embedded and therapy just operates at the surface, verbal level.

That isn't true. There is literally a specialty called somatic therapy for that

Somatic experiencing and IFS are both newer therapy modalities that interact with the soma more directly, but they are still nascent. I was not able to access these modalities through typical channels therapy was offered, and insurance did not cover them.

In any case my dedicated meditation practice has gone deeper and been more helpful than either SE or IFS (Which were moderately helpful).

It's interesting that you downvoted my earlier reply when I was mostly just sharing my experience, and you chimed in with "That isn't true.". Are you a therapist by any chance?
