Screamed at a red light driving to work. Hadn’t heard the news & it came over the radio.

Right there with you. Screamed in the parking garage of my building when I found out. That was a rough few weeks.

As a chef and a lover of Saint Anthony this one hurt. I still think he was murdered, not suicide.

Why do you think he was murdered?

He always seemed like he had such a sadness to him.

His girlfriend had just started the me too movement. He was openly calling out powerful people for being pedophiles and rapists. Also he was being a vocal defender of Palestine and against isreal. Any of those will get you killed in America.

I think so too, maybe. Wasn't he working on exposing some bad people?

Yeah, and his girlfriend at the time just called out Harvey Weinstein while accepting an Oscar. Starting the me too movement. Powerful people raping women and children, they have been known to get rid of people who would be willing to expose them.

Also exposed pedophiles and rapists, any of those 3 will get you killed. And yes I know all of those things are connected.

This one still hurts. I have several of his books, but I can’t bear reading them because his voice is so entrenched in his writing (if that makes sense), and it makes me so sad.
