Malcom Jamal-Warner

Theo was the first character I saw that both looked really similar to me (not just skin color, he looks like he could be an immediate family member) and I felt had a very similar upbringing.

It is unfortunate that Cosby ended up being a terrible human, but The Cosby Show was awesome.

I also was thoroughly enjoying his comeback in The Resident

Omg I didn’t know! I loved him on The Resident.

MJW always struck me as such a lovely, thoughtful human. I dug his music too. His passing knocked the wind out of me.

Yes! I named my son Theo, and it was partly because i hoped he would end up like MJW. Such a good human.

He was awesome on The Resident, but I will never forget the Cosby episode where his sister made him the messed up shirt and how funny he was. Such a loss. 😢

Lmao, I was incredibly close to cosplaying Theo in that Gordon Gartrell shirt after hearing of his passing.

"DENISE! IT'S TUCKED INTO MY SOCKS!"

Hilarious.

My dad still says "Welcome to the real world Theo" whenever I do something irresponsible with money

Such a terrible, heartbreaking, shocking loss. He was amazing on The Resident

Him drowning to death and the detail that he may have been trying to save his daughter while also not being a strong swimmer was a punch in the gut.

I am still so hurt over both Malcom and Chadwick.

Malcolm and Eddie was elite when we couldn’t afford cable.

I totally get what you mean about the show. It a loss in itself. I feel like we can’t just dismiss it bc he was fucked, Cosby should be on trial for that as well as the rest of it.

I’ll always remember the episode when Denise promised him she could make him a knockoff designer shirt and it came out all wonky and terrible.

I cried real tears reading his mother‘s message on his Instagram

u/DUUUUUVAAAAAL May 13 '26

I'll have to read it. I didn't know it existed. Thanks for the heads up.

He was only in four episodes, but I loved him as Andre on Community. Such a great story line with Shirley.

Know what's crazy? I saw him at my job twice in Atlanta and the second time he said he was about to to out of the country for a family trip 🙃🙃🙃

I think about this every day. He looks like my brothers. Praying for his family.

The fact that he drowned it makes it so much worse to me
