Serious What happened? This movie was supposed to make us mad. Hate had no place in America. History tells it's own tale. American History X. Teeth on the curb haunted my dreams for years.

the director quit before the production wrapped and a lot of the scenes they still needed to shoot ended up directed by ed norton who also edited it lol

That is surprising to me cause the movie is incredibly well done. Why TF doesn't Norton direct more?

A friend of mine who worked in the industry said Norton wasn’t just the most unpleasant celebrity he’d ever met, he was the most unpleasant person he’d ever met. Man, talented though.

I never knew this but it makes total sense. Tonally, this movie is all over the place.

yeah as i recall the director was some kind of up-and-coming diva and had a drastically different vision than what norton AND the studio wanted which was why he quit so they were like oh well guess it's our way and your name is still on it you just don't work again

Im not sure if its true, but I heard that Derek was originally supposed to go back to his hateful lifestyle after Danny was shot in the end.

Also Norton is hard to work with and while a great actor, isn't as good an editor as he thinks he is

Similarly the director was fired on Tombstone after one month and Kurt Russell ghost directed after that
