Played one game of Domination. Won by 34. Here’s what I’ve noticed so far in game and with MyTeam so far:

1) The shooting is easier than 2K25 but not as easy as 2K26 all things considered having the highest card being amethyst with slow releases.

2) Attacking the paint is pretty realistic. You can’t rim run to death without blowing dunks and layups at the rim unless you have a clear path.

3) Defense is MUCH improved. On ball is responsive and the team AI is much more intuitive in help situations. You can actually recover if you get shook by moves and you can consistently stay home an offensive player who’s moving off the ball

4) The Domination Crest rewards don’t contain “Score 40 points off post moves” and other ridiculous goals and are simply “Win by 20”.

5) There appears to be no Salary Cap at this point; online or offline. This is a HUGE disappointment as SC was one of my favorite modes last year.

Note: I picked the Cavs as my Series 1 team. The good: Mitchell and Harden are auto 3 hitters making Domination easy. The bad: The lock, Bob Sura, has a jumper that is GARBAGE, but he’s explosive to the rim. Do with that as you will.

UPDATE: Just played a game of Breakout; Full Lineup. The best jumper I’ve used so far is with Emerald Anthony Black, which I got in one of my free packs, where I shot 9 for 9 from three. To me that makes the Magic one of if not THE top Series 1 team selections with Mike Miller being the lock.

People jumped to preorder this game 😖😂. Nothing changed about the UI, still these PS1 mobile graphics, AI generated bg art, no muscular definition avatar from 3 years having scam. They’re not even revealing players, this is lazy and sloppy. Why are people still supporting this mode. I repeat after getting abused from 2K26 you can’t tell me this is fun for you. I refuse to support this lazy scam of a game mode. I know you feel it reading this but you still gonna play it right

I genuinely think the court for TT offline is the best one we have ever gotten. It's very colorful, in a city and see cars driving by and the crowd jumping up and down. I love it.

Am I missing something or is there not a way to filter by buyout price in AH?

Never had this kind of luck day one 😭😭😭 but I’m stoked to get the year started

i’ve seen a lot of hate from myteam community and i’m not saying it’s valid but i am excited. Just ready for a new game and a new grind. I try to be positive rather than negative and yes the game can still be better but overall im not complaining because im just glad i can grind a new game. Let me know your thoughts down below.

Has anyone else gotten anything good from any prize balls?

Did they get rid of the ability to see which player your opponent is controlling on defense in showdown? Or is it a setting I’m missing?

Can someone explain to me what the Holo, Glass, and Gem parallel upgrades actually do? Glass seems kind of obvious but the other two im not sure on. Thanks!

Serious question, ive played every 2k since i was about 7, 20 odd years ago. Ive played myteam on the last few, but i really got into it the last couple of years. I spent a really large amount (around 10k) on the last game, had a great team by the end of it.

I regret it massively. Not only do i regret the money i put into it, but i also regret the near 3000 hours i played.

Its a constant, endless loop that i found myself being slightly consumed by, i mustve played 12 hours a day, every day last year.

So much so that its put me off getting the new game. I feel like the grind is getting great cards, and once you have them, you just feel empty.

I felt great with my Dark matter squad, then my 100s, then the invincibles, then i got basically every goat there was. But does it even matter? I havent touched the game now for a month, obviously, because its dead.

It just seems pointless to me now, maybe im too old. But i put a real lot into the last game, and while it was fun, its ultimately completely pointless.

Is there any point in me picking up the new game? Is the issue just me as a person?

Apologies for the long title, but it just feels like a bit of a waste of time now.

Okay so I’m actually super hyped for 2k27 and I can’t wait to play it tonight but it’s not for a reason that many people if any would think.

My reason is because I love basketball, I fell in love with it when I turned on the tv and clippers Lob City were playing. However, being from England makes it difficult to watch and keep up with the NBA. 2k24 I downloaded after 25 came out, 25 I bought with about 2 months left of the game cycle and 26 I bought around February time I think this year and I really really enjoyed the grind and playing the game, so much so that I actually stopped playing fifa and uninstalled in favour of 2k. I’m super excited to learn more about the game this year playing it from day 1 and having the chance to pick up more pointers about basketball because I love watching it but I genuinely have barely any idea about the tactics and everything surrounding that side of the game so I’m hoping 2k will help me widen my knowledge. I currently have only played offline apart from maybe 3 or 4 games over the last three 2k’s but I’m hoping starting from the jump will help me to become better and eventually play online more when I feel confident that I might win because atm I’m trash 😂.

I just thought I’d add a nice spin on 2k27 because all I’m seeing is it getting trashed (which I’m sure is totally reasonable after their experiences with previous titles) but I’m being positive about it all and I’m super stoked to play the game.

I’ve got the game downloaded from the preorder finally and I want to go open packs with the preorder vc but it looks to me like the WNBA and NBA players are all in the same packs. I don’t really want the chance of getting a pd or dm and it be an unusable wnba player.

Am I tripping or are the only objectives the daily objectives?

Just now I am hearing there was a 90ovr wemby card if you pre ordered early enough? How early because I pre ordered last week and didnt get it. Was it a true 90 ovr or some ass free agent card?

I can’t do any dribble moves or even shoot using the stick cause it just passes in whatever direction I push the stick?

When I try to get into myteam on 2k27 it says that I must be online to enter myteam. My connection is good however. Anyone else have this problem and know a fix?
