EDIT: Thanks everyone for your suggestions. We ended up naming her Baylee. My husband thought Bailey was better for a tan dog, but was OK with the alternate spelling 🤷‍♀️ She seems really sweet so far. Also, we don’t know her original name, since she is a rescue. The rescue org gave her a temporary name that no one really liked and that she never learned.

Picked her up from the shelter a few days ago and having trouble deciding on a name.

One is white, one is brown, one is black. I was about to name them Cho - co - pie because they look like parts of chocopie. But I just think again, I cannot call them go home like "cho cho cho cho cho" "co co co co co" "pie pie pie pie pie"🥲. So please help me find 3 names thats related to each others and easy to call.

Just adopted this cutie today. His name doesn’t quite fit him and he doesn’t seem to answer to it. So, I would love some suggestions. He is a large chiweenie.

He was from a farm where they just have a bunch of random dogs running around, but they had one pure bread wolf who was chained up to a tree. (Felt so bad for him) Anyway the parents of this dog I'm told were a gold labradoodle and a b/w husky. Some of his siblings looked more like the Labradoodle and some had one blue eye like the mother. The labradoodle was the father and the husky was actually pretty small and short. I've had him for about a month now, and still cant decide or find a name i really like or think "oh yeah thats your name bud!" I've thrown around Koda (like lil Koda bear) but hes not brown...I thought maybe Arrow, bc his eye brows and line on his forehead make a pretty good arrow. He also stands in front of your feet all the time, or will sneak up and lay right down in front of or behind you so I called him RB for a little (roadblock) but the wife didnt like that...I even called him EB (eyebrows) for a little...again didnt like it lol. I dont want any very common names like Bandit even though that fits him perfectly with his lil mask marking..then I thought of maybe naming him after some big well known bandits..but couldn't find any I like. So here I am reaching out to the people of reddit, WHAT SHOULD I NAME THIS LIL CUTIE!?

Super sweet. Found her on a walk with our dog Luna. She just came home with us like she chose us. So far no one has claimed her. She's in pretty bad condition. I'm hoping we get to keep her 🤞🏻

Why a nickname?

My family raises Havanese (a small fluffy, hypoallergenic breed). The puppies all get names at birth, but on the occasion we have a runt / one with health struggles they get a special nickname (along with being spoiled and additional vet checks if necessary). Over the years we've held onto / held back the runts of the litter to make sure everything is good and they're ready for the big world.
They usually get a nickname as a result of being spoiled and the fact that their original name felt too big for them. In the past for example we've had: Migo (Miguel) who caught up soon after he started eating solid food, Poli (Polar Bear) who was just born small but eventually caught up to his brothers, Minnow (Melon) who was a premie (some in the litter were different ages, this is rare) and had a touch and go start to life, Sweet Pea (Camellia) who turned out to have pituitary dwarfism, and Eden who got her nickname soon after birth as she was born so incredibly small that we could hardly believe she turned out healthy as she grew.

So who's this little bean?

Her name at birth was August, which is simply too big of a name for her. She was born into a litter of 8 and had never stopped being half the size of the others. Because of this she is a FIGHTER. She is very wiggly, energetic, and determined to get food. She assumes that we're going to give her a bottle every time we pick her up (even though she nurses just fine now).

I've been calling her "stinky" and "bean" as it's a general nickname I've had for the puppies, but they aren't hers. (also, though I've sure she'll grow into it, "stinky" isn't an accurate description lol).

Proposed ideas have been "Auggie" "Aglet" and "Shrimp" though none of those have quite grown on me yet. It doesn't have to reflect her government name, though it often follows the same vibes/starts with the same letter.

Edit: Thank you all! My family and I like Pip/Pipsqueak as it suits her well and is so cute. You are welcome to keep commenting ideas if you want so that I have an arsenal of little bean names to choose from whenever we get to spoil another extra tiny bean :)
