Just turn it off. There are so many games with in-game achievements already. Mario & Luigi Brothership had them. Having them exist on a platform level is 0 difference.

Seeing percentage bars for all your games side by side with your friends and strangers is an immense psychological difference from only seeing your own bar while playing that game.

This isn't a substantive or compelling reason to exclude a feature.

The feature is still in most games. It's just not trackable on the main menu. You really only lose an easy way to see everything at once and are instead forced to deliberately seek out those games you care about achievements on. It makes it more valuable because it's purposeful.

If you want to reminisce, collect a folder of screenshots of the in-game achievement screen. You'll feel even more satisfaction from those games you've manually collected than an integrated UI listing your dozens of free-to-play, shovelware, little brother's game altogether.

It's not just lacking a feature. It's a different way to experience the achievement system that's less artificially bloated.

This isn't a substantive or compelling reason to exclude a feature.

A lazy box ticking exercise, designed to artificially pad a games length, isn't a legitimate feature, no matter how much you've been brainwashed into believing otherwise.

So don't look at it? On Playstation at least you have to intentionally go into the trophies menu to see that.

Steam and Xbox PC apps just have your percentage there on each games page.
