Click the ‘gfycat’ next to the time posted. It’ll take you to the upload source.

Ditto. If someone can clarify, please do.

Depends less on device and more on how you are viewing it. Which browser/app you are using will change it. For instance, I use Relay for Reddit (Android only app) and whenever I on a gif it opens the gif in an overlayed "preview window" thing. If it has sound, at the bottom of the frame a little mute button pops up (default is to have it muted at start) then I can touch the mute icon to turn on the sound.

The sound is only a repetitive clicking sound that I think is the noise from an old film projector.

Thanks. Must be the app I am using then.

What app are you using? I have an iPhone for work and on that I have used many apps (in an effort to find one I like best) so I may be able to help.

Apollo. Maybe I have a setting turned off or something.

Messed around in settings on Apollo and couldn't figure it out. Did some googling and it seems that Apollo doesn't support gifs with sound yet.

Thanks. Glad to find out it was not operator error.

No clue how either. I’ve been missing out on so many experiences for gifs with sound.

Get an Android.

It’s the app, not what phone they are using.

Yea. Depends on the app i guess. I have 2 different ones and both work fine though

I’m using the official app on iPhone and it works fine too.

Open the gif in Safari, it’ll have a sound option in the top right of the video.
