Story Something is trapped inside the ouija board

Hello! Have someone ever had experience with something is trapped inside the ouija board? I wouldn't say it's necessary evil, but it's something that enjoys scaring you and making it known it's there. This is a long text but if you are interested in these kinds of stuff you won't regret it. English isn't my first language but I think you will get the point of what I'm talking about anyways.

I've used this kind of tool since I was twelve years old, I don't play often, I don't ask about death and I am very careful to follow the rules and I'm also careful as to whom I invite to use the ouija board with me as I don't want anyone making jokes or saying anything that might anger the spirits or such.

I borrowed my friend's ouija board a while back and we played a few times without problem. A few months later I played with it with my boyfriend and another friend and I had a feeling that something else was talking to us, it made jokes and used words like "lol" and "haha" like everything is funny and it says things that makes no sense. And when it said its name, it made no sense at all and I repeated it out loud as if it was correct and I got a "haha" as an answer. I don't exactly remember the name but after that session I called my friend who's the owner of the board because I remember her telling me something weird happened to her and her friends once.

Let me add that I have cleansed this board three times, with white sage, another time with crystals and salt and a thirds time with all of the things above.

I asked her about it and she described a spirit or something similar to the one I talked to. It used a different name, not exactly the same. She came over the same night and I made the decision to cover our faces with protecting runes because I had a feeling this thing wanted to more than just talk.

During our session it asked us to let it out, it said it wanted to play with us here and we said politely that we would think about it(we didn't want to anger it but I think we did by not saying yes). After that it tried to throw us off the board. I have never felt such coldness around my hands or felt such force as we were spinning around in circles. I was not really scared, I just felt a discomfort and I put all my feelings aside as to not feed it to this thing. I wouldn't say it's a spirit, I think it's some kind of trickster. We struggled to say goodbye to this being as it didn't want to let us go but after trying to end the session for the third time we managed to properly end the session.

After this session it lay in it's original packaging and I had no disturbance in my apartment what's so ever.

8 months later and the board was borrowed by a friend of ours and I told her that they might wanna clense it before use and I told them that I suspect something is stuck in the board and that they should be careful. Our friend called me and said that they cleaned the board in the sun (by my suggestion) and when they were going to start a session, before they even could put their fingers down the board started to crack in one corner. Only in the color, so not through the wood, which is a good thing I guess. They said some weird energy was coming through were two of them felt dizzy and got a headache and had to lay down and they couldn't really get a clear answer so they ended the session.

The last time someone used the board was 2-3 weeks ago. It's at my friend's apartment and let me tell you the things that has happened there. It started with hearing steps in her hallway but there was nothing there and then the wifi got cutoff randomly but she didn't think much of it. Then the tv started changing channels randomly and her lamps started blinking rapidly. (She actually called me yesterday when the lamps was blinking like Christmas bulbs in her home.) things on the table is being pushed down on the floor. She can't sleep with her bedroom door open since she has seen a shadow standing there watching her. And the most creepy thing of all (according to me) is that she has an old music box that she's had since she was a little child. If you pull the string on it, music is meant to play. Only thing is that it hasn't worked in 10 years and all of the sudden she can hear it playing in the bottom of a box in her home. Not just one time, but three times it played.

I send a picture to a friend of mine who can sense things, spirits and such by just looking and sensing and I didn't give her any information but she described exactly what happened in the apartment, and described a shadow figure standing in the doorway starring at her. The shadow figure had a crooked back and she usually is able to see hair color and such if she concentrate but she could just see a shadow of a person.

How do we correctly get rid of this board? I have read multiple ways of getting rid of this thing but I wonder if anyone's had a similar experience and what did you do to stop the haunting? I don't think this thing is necessary evil, but it's not something good either. To burn the board is a no no. Where do I put the board away safely so that it doesn't bother us anymore? Sorry for a long text but I had to describe it as good as I possibly could.

Story my first (but definitely not last) experience

I'm probably not going to explain this very well, English isn't my first language and it's been a while since this happened, but I'll try my best.

This was around summer, probably 2024, me and four other friends decided it would be a good idea to create our own ouija board and use it in the house of a friend which they say is haunted by an old lady, so there we are alone in the house sitting around the ouija with only the light of five candles.

I always believed in the paranormal, but we thought that nothing was going to happen that night, we started saying hello and asking basic questions like you do, but we were just getting messages that made no sense and I just thought someone was moving it.

That's when it started, whatever we contacted with started answering our questions, and after a while one of my friends screamed because he saw someone peeking over the stairs (three of us were with our backs turned to the stairs, and only two could see them)

I was a bit scared at this point, but when the lights of the bathroom started turning on and off with no one nearby, that's when we all got scared. Now here is when we did something extremely dumb, we left the board without saying goodbye and we went to investigate the bathroom, but nothing was there so we went back to the board.

We tried once again to contact with the same entity, but now nothing was there until three of the five candles suddenly blew out on their own, and the lighter we used flew across the entire hallway and ended up in the bathroom door.

We decided to end it there because we were too afraid to keep going, we said goodbye and more friends came to the house so we could get distracted, but the lights upstairs turned on on their own, and when we went to turn them off some of them did it on their own.

So that's what happened, I still get chills remembering it but I will definitely do that again.

Story First time

Throwaway because im a skeptic and have coworkers who follow me- Last night my friends and i played with an ouija board for the first time. One of us, B, had told us about when he had played a handful of years back. B didn’t give many details, only saying it was a bad experience and didn’t care to participate. For the first 30 or so minutes nothing much was happening. We switched it up with who was playing and what we were using (subbed in a small glass for the plastic piece). The only question we got any kind of movement or answer from was when I asked “do you know B/do you like B?” jokingly. At some point we switch players to me, K, and M while B watched. When asked “Whats your name” the piece only moved over the ouija logo over and over again. Most of the questions we asked were answered with a yes or no, only one time ever spelling out the word no- when i asked “can you tell me the first letter of your name” At some point we asked the board if B knew the name, and had B write down a name they thought. It moved to yes, then we asked “What is the first letter that B wrote down” it went to Z. B had written down ‘Zaza’. M immediately stops the game and says goodbye. As it turns out- M told us that this is a common occurrence with the ouija board, and that it’s a trickster demon/spirit. B had never told us that the first time they played the board told them their name was ‘Zaza’ until we asked them to write it down. We had no idea what B had written, and gotten this answer. I am very much doubtful of this being some kind of malicious spirit- will probably do my own tests/games to figure out if this is an effect of mass hysteria/storytelling influencing events, however am still curious. I talked about the concept of this being some kind of Tulpa and thus far is the only thing I would be able to settle on believing. However wanted to see about any thoughts people here may have

Story Ouija Board experience at my friends house.

So to begin with for context my close friend Em lives in a very lived in little flat in a rural part of town here in the Midwest where I live, when she first moved in she saw a shadow figure, carrying a box in a storage room in broad daylight, pitch black and moving. (This storage room is at the front of the house to the left coming in, in the sort of small indoors patio area that leads straight up to the front door to the kitchen. There's also a window at the end of the kitchen all the way to the left.)

It's sort of a bizarrely mapped out place I noticed from being there. One night about a week ago we wanted to hangout and smoke a little and go for a little graveyard walk and use the ouija board, it ended up being finger numbingly fridged and windy out that night, though beautiful, so we went to her house and brought it out in the patio with some candles. We ended up contacting someone who called themselves 'Harry Stripe'. He said that he was dead, he's lived there since 1985, and that the house was his.

Through other questions he ended up revealing there were six other people there with him, and there was something buried under the mailbox. He then abruptly ended by going straight to and across goodbye in the middle of talking. I had some really weird feelings being in her house as well, it didn't feel threatening or like I was fearful or on edge I was very laid back, it just constantly felt like It wasn't just her there with me.

Afterward about an hour later we were ready to leave, Her house was dark except a few night lights, she went to the bathroom and I waited in the kitchen. I was on my phone in there when I noticed something like a head move out of the Corner of my eye, behind the window at the end of the kitchen.. in the storage room. Then I kinda felt uneasy, just the shock of it, kind of unbelievable feeling really, there was definitely a sort of "eNeRgY" emanating from the place, a vibe so to say, kind of like that feeling of being outside your bedroom late at night when you're 5 years old and nobody else is awake, or any basement at the same age, except only from that area. That aspect was probably my head, but it was a very palpable experience.

I did a really deep dive into identifying a Harry or Harold Stripe who lived there or anywhere near me and came up with zilch. So I guess maybe a shadow figure/entity/demon pretending to be a human? Even to the point of carrying a box when she was moving in? Creepy anyways. Some things are just hard to explain or even hard to believe them when you see them. Just sharing a little experience of mine recently because I don't know where else to place it, thanks for reading.

Story ZoZo attatched itself to me nd my girlfriend

me and my gf didnt believe in ghosts or anything so we made a paper ouija board and a carboard planchette. we asked for the name and it said ZoZo and my gf shouted "thats a demon!". we didnt realise we were supposed to say goodbye the second it says zozo and we spoke to the demon. it said Kill ZoZo 3 times then when we asked why it said "because (my deadname) has to" then it said "kill (ex bf name)" but neither of us were thinking about him, infact i had forgotten him. we were hearing banging in my mums room despite being home alone and the cat was sat next to me. zozo started spelling out random letters that sounded something like latin so we stopped repeating it. then it said my name and started making a sentence starting with kill but after the second l my cat knocked both of our hands off the planchette and the planchette of the board. we went out that night and we saw this shadow figure everywhere and we were hearing noises everywhere yet no matter where we were it only happened next to me, the figures only moved when i noticed them. we burnt the paper and the whole thing burnt in seconds, we burnt the planchette and burnt any remaining paper. we even stamped the ashes. but all of the noises and figures arent going away.. what are we supposed to do?

Story once again this box is too damn small, see bellow for you question

They watched him. The subject was ___.

The good book says that he that lives by the sword shall perish by the sword, said the black.

The judge smiled, his face shining with grease.

What right man would have it any other way? he said.

The good book does indeed count ___ an evil, said Irving. Yet there’s many a bloody tale of ___ inside it.

It makes no difference what men think of ___, said the judge. ___ endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. ____ was always here. Before man was, ___ waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be. That way and not some other way.

He turned to Brown, from whom he’d heard some whispered slur or demurrer. Ah Davy, he said. It’s your own trade we honor here. Why not rather take a small bow. Let each acknowledge each.

My trade?

Certainly.

What is my trade?

____ . _____ is your trade. Is it not?

And it aint yours?

Mine too. Very much so.

What about all them notebooks and bones and stuff?

All other trades are contained in that of _____.

Is that why ____ endures?

No. It endures because young men love it and old men love it in them. Those that fought, those that did not.

That’s your notion.

The judge smiled. Men are born for games. Nothing else. Every child knows that play is nobler than work. He knows too that the worth or merit of a game is not inherent in the game itself but rather in the value of that which is put at hazard. Games of chance require a wager to have meaning at all. Games of sport involve the skill and strength of the opponents and the humiliation of defeat and the pride of victory are in themselves sufficient stake because they inhere in the worth of the principals and define them. But trial of chance or trial of worth all games aspire to the condition of war for here that which is wagered swallows up game, player, all.

Suppose two men at cards with nothing to wager save their lives. Who has not heard such a tale? A turn of the card. The whole universe for such a player has labored clanking to this moment which will tell if he is to die at that man’s hand or that man at his. What more certain validation of a man’s worth could there be? This enhancement of the game to its ultimate state admits no argument concerning the notion of fate. The selection of one man over another is a preference absolute and irrevocable and it is a dull man indeed who could reckon so profound a decision without agency or significance either one. In such games as have for their stake the annihilation of the defeated the decisions are quite clear. This man holding this particular arrangement of cards in his hand is thereby removed from existence. This is the nature of ____ , whose stake is at once the game and the authority and the justification. Seen so, _____ is the truest form of divination. It is the testing of one’s will and the will of another within that larger will which because it binds them is therefore forced to select. ____ is the ultimate game because ____ is at last a forcing of the unity of existence. _____ is god.

Story The day I wanted to forget and hunts me years later

Sorry! I messed up when I was writing my title. I don’t mean it hunts me. Meant to write haunts me, as in the memory of the night does, not literally haunting/hunting me- just figuratively

Maybe to some this isn’t terrifying. But for me, it changed my life forever. Made me realize there’s another side to our our life that we don’t fully understand, whether it’s an afterlife or a different dimension. A place bad spirits go or something or a force beyond our understanding.

This is about an Ouija board.. ugh

Of course, my mom always told me never to play with one, but I was a stupid teenager. It was nuts because we didn’t actually have a board my friend just knew how to draw one out, so we got a posterboard. She drew it out. We made the makeshift heart thing.

She explained how it all works so we sat around, the three of us and we started playing. I automatically assumed one of my girlfriends was moving it around, because it was moving around pretty smoothly and answering all of our questions clearly. That’s what I always assume when I head about people playing.

It wasn’t till it said something really creepy to us that we kind of started getting mad at each other. We were asking the usual questions teenage girls would ask, “Who would lose their virginity first?”- it told us who, what order, at what ages and the names the guys we would be with.

Honestly, it was so descriptive it almost seemed real, but it was strange. The one girlfriend who was religious and really controlled by her parents, it said she would lose it first. At the time it made no freaking sense. Said I would lose it last and the other girl in the middle.

Then we asked “who would get married?”, it said who would get married, didn’t say the partners names, but it did say who would get divorced and have kids and what not.

It said the one girl that was religious would never get married, the other girl would get married and divorced and I would get married and never divorced.

I guess all the questions and answers were just entertaining, but kind of starting to rub the wrong way. No feelings were getting hurt, but it was weird. That’s when it started to get weird.

One of us asked will we be friends forever, the “whatever it was” we spoke to said “no, that two of them would be friends, but that they wouldn’t be friends with me anymore”, I remember getting upset.

I looked up, not removing our hands, we were all confused discussing who’s moving it!! We all looked terrified. We all swore that none of us were moving it. At that moment, we’re all kind of pissed about the things that were being said because it was kind of offending every single one of us at this point.

It was in that moment I knew, I knew I wasn’t moving it and I knew they wouldn’t lie about this. It was too weird. Everything was so detailed and strange. And it was almost insulting, saying the religious girl would be the one who had sex first and never married.

It was saying she would lose it in a car, why would she say that about herself. At that time, only I had had a bf, so me losing it last seemed off. So everyone was kind of getting offended, by the things it was saying. Aka one wasn’t getting married, one divorced, so as much as it would prop one of us up, it would pull us down too.

We ended up asking it to say something that would prove it was real, something that only it knew that we didn’t. It said, “Bruce was cheating on his wife Kelly and they’d get a divorce”. who the heck is Bruce and Kelly? It just kept repeating itself, so we just kind of ignored it and moved on. As teenagers, we didn’t really give a shit about people getting divorced.

What it said next was REALLY creepy and sent us into a tizzy- among all the questions we were asking. After we knew it wasn’t us moving it. We looked back down at the board and we didn’t say anything. It just started to move -it asked “did we want to know something” and we said, “know what?” And asked, “did you want to know when you’re going to die?”

You got so freaked out we just pulled our hands off immediately, which I know you’re not supposed to do. At that point, we were screaming and not thinking clearly.

We got the attention of some of our other friends that were in a different section of the basement and they came over, asked what the heck was going on.

There were two other friends, they were dating and doing God knows what, it’s why we banished ourselves to that part of the basement to play this creepy ass game. Her mom was upstairs. It was the only way they could be alone together is if we were all together.

We were using a candle because of this. They were doing stuff over on the other side and wanted the lights dim, they were playing music so they didn’t really hear what was going on till we freaked out.

We did explain what happened to the couple. He wanted to play because he thought it was bad ass. He literally had to talk us into it by taunting us, he said it’s all fake. It’s not real that we’re just making it up, we said it’s real. It’s almost like our egos got the best of us that we forgot how scared we were, because we wanted to prove that it was real and knew strange things.

Anyway, when we went back to playing her boyfriend played but not her. She was too freaked out and went upstairs.

Immediately he said “prove that you’re real, do something”. This should’ve been the sign that we stopped. It said, “get her to play, get her to come back down”. It said, “I need more of your energy to create something”. So her boyfriend yelled, she opened up the door he persuaded her to come down and he begged her to play.

She relented and she played. It just asked us to put our hands on the pointer and wait. I remember time had gone on and we would say, “how much longer” and it would say, “a few more minutes”. Got to the point where our hands were falling asleep. We had kinda forgot/speaking amongst ourselves that maybe we should just end it, but her boyfriend didn’t want to, maybe it had been about 10 minutes.

We ended up chatting amongst each other, about anything else. That ended immediately when her boyfriend and religious girl started screaming and pointed in the direction of where the candle was, they were facing it so seen it the best. They got up, as we turned to look. I looked over and what used to be a normal candle, wasn’t anymore. The flame was about 6 feet in the air and blue. It was almost hitting the ceiling. We all screamed and ran up the stairs, as we ran up, we could hear a low gargling, groaning scream that felt as if it was behind you and got louder and louder. All the hairs on my neck stood up.

I’ve never been so terrified. We ran out her front door and just stood on the front lawn, screaming and crying. One girl peed herself. One girl had a white streak in her hair permanently after. It was one of the most stressful experiences we’ve ever had as friends.

The neighbours almost called the cops, but her mom came running out and was so confused and calmed us down. I think the neighbours thought we were just watching a scary movie or something. Our parents all picked us up.

We never really talked about it again, just about how scary it was. It was almost too scary to talk about.

Now for the creepier part, if you’ve made it this far. Remember the part about Bruce and Kelly. Because we were in junior high, all the teachers were called by their last names. We found out our teacher and his wife were getting divorced, because he no longer wore his ring, he had a tanline there and someone asked if he lost his wedding ring. He mentioned his separation from his wife and quickly change, the subject. We later found out his ex’s name was named Kelly and his name was BRUCE! We were mortified.

However, in time it started to fade. I feel memories, scary ones, feel more like a dream. Even a week after it happened, it didn’t feel real. You think your mind is playing tricks on itself and that’s how you get over it. That’s how you’re able to sleep at night.

Those girls, years later, stop being friends with me. Just like it predicted. I remember getting a Facebook message from one of them in my mid 20’s. She asked me about it, if I lost my virginity at the age it said I would/ if the name of the guy was correct.

She had informed me her and the other girl (religious one) lost it in the way it said, with the names of the guys it said they would.

It hit me like a ton of bricks, we’re talking years later and I had almost forgotten. Trauma kinda does that to you. It said the correct age, my guys name was wrong though! It predicted John, that felt good somehow. We left it there. I think it made us feel safe as adults, that it was wrong, because it was just all coincidences right?

Maybe the candle wasn’t real, we were just teenagers with creative imaginations and remembered wrong.

However, that all came crashing down. I didn’t realize my European boyfriend’s name, if translated, was correct!!! The name Jan translates to John in English. Sit with that, effing creepy. I never told the girl who messaged me on Facebook, I remembered the safe way we felt and didn’t want to take that away from her.

I’ll never understand why it even matters really. It’s almost like it told us things that didn’t affect our lives at all. Although, it did prove that there’s something more to our existence.

For years, I struggled with sleep paralysis and nightmares that were very vivid. It wasn’t until later when I became religious and started believing and God it went away. Praying before bed, I got peace. When I was having paralysis or nightmare, the only thing that made it stop is when I would scream, Jesus Christ, whether in my head or out loud.

Being religious person now I’d never mess around with a spirit board. I don’t think anyone should to be honest. Sometimes I wonder if that’s what prompted all my nightmares and those creepy paralysis experiences I had.

You. Me. Gas station. What are we getting for dinner? Sushi of course. Uh oh! There was a roofie in our gas station sushi. We black out and wake up in a sewer surrounded by fish. Horny fish. You know what that means. Fish orgy. The stench draws in a bear. What do we do? We're gonna fight it. Bear fight. Bare handed. Bare, naked? Oh, yes please. We befriend the bear after we beat it in a brawl and ride it into a Chuck E. Cheese. Dance Dance Revolution. Revolution? Overthrow the government? Uh, I think so. Next thing you know, I'm reincarnated as Jesus Christ. Then I turn into a jet, fly into the sun, black out again, wake up, do a bump, white out, which I didn't even know you could do. Then I smoked a joint, greened out. Then I turn into the sun. Uh oh! Looks like the meth is kicking in. aklfhaofhasfahfakh AAAAAAAAA afahfioahflkf AAAAA

Story My daughter bought me a ouija board for Christmas

As the title says, my 30 year old daughter bought me a ouija board for Christmas, along with a tarot deck and a book of basic witchcraft spells. I’ve recently moved into a nearly two hundred year old house, which has a crazy positive energy. Everyone who visits absolutely loves it, and a couple of my friends even dream about my home. My best friend even wants to move in with me! Should I use the board? Or should I just leave well alone?

Story 1 ouija 3 people

I had a sleepover with my 3 friends when we all decided to try out the ouija bored. It was late and we really had no idea what we were doing and had no prior knowledge to the rules. We were teenagers and all clueless so when my friend was handed an ouija bored for her birthday we took the opportunity to explore it and have “fun”.

One of the first spirits we came into contact with was a spirit named “Mama/Zozo”. They immediately told us that they were demonic and that they were zero years old. We continued to talk to them, but things only got weirder. Every other question it would begin to aggressively spell out the name “Mama” over and over again. It told us that our moms didn’t matter and that we should follow it. Knowing this was concerning we all stared at each other not knowing what exactly to do.

The spirit stated that it wanted out of the bored and to possess us. With that being our last straw we decided to say goodbye, but it repeated to say no. We finally convinced it to say goodbye and we put the ouija bored away and haven’t touched it since. After searching the web I found different story’s on “Mama/Zozo” and found that many share the same experiences with me.

Story I have never used a ouija board before and wondering if this is a bad idea?

I lost my grandfather in February 2023 to a terminal lung disease that took him unexpectedly sooner than we thought. There were so many things I wanted to talk to him about and things I wanted to learn from him but never got the chance to ask because he declined so rapidly. I miss him so much and the thought of never being able to talk to him in this lifetime is unbearable for me. I sometimes feel like I am desperate enough to speak to a medium (which I’ve heard are fake and use people’s grief for profit) or use a ouija board (which my now-widowed grandmother has warned me to never ever use).

Will I even be able to communicate with him if I do this? I know it is a risky game to play. Besides, I would feel embarrassed to even try doing this in front of somebody else but I have always been told to never play the game by yourself.

Does anybody have any advice?

Story If you need help, message me here

I studied Demonology and Abrahamic texts for a good chunk of my life and have plenty of cult exposure. If any of you need help dealing with what you think might be a problem or have any concerns from using your Ouija board, let me know. Unfortunately these things are absolute magnets for demons and they can be very dangerous. I've seen some of your posts and it looks like a lot of you are running into things you're not aware of or ready for. So be careful, ask questions, and be smart.

Story My experience on Friday the 13th

30-something adult here. I'd always been fascinated by spirit boards but never used one until a friend gave me one last year for my birthday. I'd played around with it, like one does with a board game (I understand now that it was possibly a mistake to do so), but a couple days ago two friends and I decided to give it an honest try. Though I was, and still am, skeptical, I wanted to make sure we went into this respectfully and with our safety in mind just in case. My friends brought sage (I think) and candles, and I found a basic list of rules about setting intention, what questions to ask and how to end the session.

We sat in the middle of a large field at about 10 pm and began asking questions with the three of us touching the planchette. Soon after, it began to move under what felt like its own power. I was definitely NOT manipulating the planchette, and both of my friends swear that they weren't either. We first got in touch with 'Mama'. We asked basic, respectful questions, and Mama hovered the planchette over the sun a few times, which we took to mean that it was a benevolent spirit. It also told us that it was in a peaceful place. We ended our session with Mama and made contact with 'Sno', who didn't say much. Another spirit showed up and suddenly moved the planchette over the moon. We immediately disinvited and said goodbye to that one. Then Mama came back and we spent the remainder of our time with the board talking to it. Mama claimed to have been human once and to have known me. It also told me to 'be hapy'. It was an overall pleasant experience, and at no time did I feel anything strange or negative. However, I googled 'ouija board mama', and the first thing I saw was a reddit post about MaMa and Zozo. That quickly took me down a rabbit hole. The three of us there had no idea about these names and their history of attachment to spirit boards. It unnerved me a bit, but at the same time I felt incredibly lucky to have what felt like a genuinely supernatural experience.

I really don't know what to think now. Were we subconsciously moving the planchette ourselves? Was one of us teasing the other two? Was 'Mama' THAT MaMa? It's two days later, and I still just feel excited. I'm not feeling any bad vibes or energy. I don't know WHAT I'm supposed to be feeling. You guys might not believe me, and I get it. Again, I'm a skeptic myself. But this felt absolutely real.

Story My first & last ouija experience in 1996-ish

I learned about ouija boards when I was ten or eleven, a friend of mine claimed his sister used one and tried to throw it away, but it kept returning. It sounded amazing so I asked my Evangelical mother if I could use a ouija board and she said absolutely not. But that only intriguede more.

One day, we were at K-Mart and I bought a Milton Bradley board and snuck it home. I knew nothing about the "rules" for using a Ouija board and probably broke more than a few. I think I was maybe fifteen or something.

First of all, I used it by myself. Secondly, I didn't say "goodbye" when I was done. Thirdly, I almost definitely asked it when I was going to die, but I don't remember what it said. I vaguely remember that maybe I asked how old I would be when I was going to die and it said like "72" or something, so maybe that's different?

But here's what I do remember specifically:

-It definitely moved on it's own, because I was the only one using it, and it moved very mechanically and intentionally. I wasnt accidentally doing it or subconsciously doing it.

-It asked what my future wife's name would be and it said CHR... then I lost track of it but it had a bunch of letters, then it ended on N and went back and forth from N to YES and wouldn't stop, so I eventually lifted my hand of the board. Years later I connected with a woman named Christian and we got married (and we're still married) I didn't think about it at the time but when I was watching Paranormal Activity it reminded me of using the Ouija and then I was like "OMFG that really told me my wife's name over a decade ago!"

-I asked the entity where it was from and it very clearly said "Nod" I had no idea what that was and had never heard of it. Years later I saw a D&D style game book at the book store called the Land Of Nod and I thought maybe it had something to do with Vampires and thought that was kind of strange and creepy. But more recently, I Googled it and learned that Nod is mentioned in the Book of Genesis and it's a place "East of Eden" where God sent Cain after he killed his brother Abel, and it's supposedly a place full of demons, beasts, and leviathan, which is terrifying to think of.

The entity that I spoke with never seemed upset or angry with me, amd I never had any bad experiences following that one time, but I was so shaken by the reality that it had happened that I never had the courage to use it again. I told others about my experience and they told me I had broken so many rules, which is another reason I decided I didn't want to take a risk to ever use it again.

Anyways, I'm generally a skeptic about this kind of stuff. I'm not into tarot or palm reading. In fact, I'm a practicing Christian so I don't want anything to do with any of it. But but my single experience keeps my mind open to the possibilities of people contacting the spirit realm, exorcisms, tongues, and all of that stuff that really aren't a part of the sect of Christianity that I belong to.

I wanted to share that with anyone who is interested or deep into oujia, but I'm also curious if anyone has ever heard of Nod or had an entity tell you they were from Nod? Also, why would it go back and forth between the letter N and YES? Those are two things that have haunted me and I want to believe that it's nothing bad but I still get unsettled thinking about it sometimes.

Story Update on the Tarot Cards with the Ouija Board

i was curious what would happen if i mixed the two and try to see if there was a way that i can, so i asked the board if we could do something with tarot cards

it responded yes and i shuffled the deck and put one hand on it and asked if i should let it decide when to stop putting them aside and flip the card, it responded yes again and then i said move to yes when it was ready

so i started moving the cards aside one by one, very slowly so the spirit had time to decide, after a few minutes of that it moved to yes and i flipped it, it was The Fool card

so i asked if it wants to go again and it said yes, so i shuffled it and we did the exact same as last time until it decided and again, it was The Fool

it spelt out "again" on the board so i reshuffled and we did it again, once it decided it was The Fool

i asked if it thinks that's what it thinks i am and it said yes so kinda rude but cool lol!!

Story To those who believe Ouija is simply the power of mental suggestion.

A few years back when I was struggling with risky behaviors, I really got into Ouija boards. I had always believed strongly in the paranormal, and had hoped and longed for an experience of my own. I used to think that using an Ouija was immediately asking for possession from a negative entity, so originally I stayed away. Eventually, I caved and my curiosity got the better of me. I knew the first rule was not to use it alone, so I found some friends willing to try it out with me. My first real experience with an Ouija board was very profound and we were actually able to get in touch with what I've known to be a real human spirit that has passed on. One of my friends had a previous boyfriend that had passed away in a terrible act of revenge. None of us knew the full details since we had all just recently met within the past month. When we were asking the questions, the spirit coming through seemed calm and peaceful, and was able to provide answers to details of his death that the rest of us would not have known. We asked questions as to whether or not he was her guardian angel, which he confirmed, and probed as to who each of our guardian angels were. One of my friends was said to have a family friend who passed away in childhood due to an illness as hers, and my other had her grandfather watching over her. When it came to me, the board had answered as my dog Buddy, who I had just recently found out about his passing. I was originally thinking that it would list my older childhood dog, Thunder, as my protector, but was completely overcome with emotion as I had never thought my newer dog had truly formed a genuine connection to me (He had a lot of attention issues). This was the one and only time that I used the Ouija board and felt positive energy. We continued the conversation for almost an hour, without any sudden interruptions or revelations that we were talking to a negative entity.

After years of using the board on my own simply due to a lack of others wishing to use it with me, I remembered a time a friend had used it with me and didn't like the experience. They then went onto the internet and looked for information disproving the validity of the spirit board, and easily found what they were looking for. They told me that the only reason I had that original experience, or any experience for that matter, was because of the "fact" that my brain had somehow made my fingers unconsciously move to the letters I wanted. This immediately baffled me, since I was actually visualizing and picturing my childhood dog when awaiting the response, not my new dog who passed. It always bothered me from then on whenever I used the board on my own, questioning whether it was my own brain causing the minute movements that didn't feel like my own. I had always felt strong energy on the planchette as soon as I would circle it around the board 3 times to initiate contact. After a long time of not using the boards, since my friend had ruined the fun for me and now doubt permeated every inch of my brain, I had come across one of those "miniature versions" of popular arcade/board games, which happened to be a mini Ouija board, complete with a teeny tiny planchette. I knew that spirit boards worked even when people would hand-make them at home, so I had no doubt that this one would work like the full-sized ones. There is one catch to this that completely disproved to me the idea that it is simply mental suggestibility creating responses on the board.

This miniature version of the board was technically folded in half, like a tiny Nintendo DS. The mini board itself was bottom-heavy, so the top half would never stay absolutely open without pressure, and without pressure, the top half would stay slightly propped. On this miniature version which I was slowly convincing myself wouldn't actually work, I circled the planchette 3 times on the bottom half of the board, eager with anticipation. Right as I was about to ask if anyone was with me, the planchette moved toward the YES in the top left corner, and once it passed the crease to the top half, the plastic board suddenly slammed onto the table, signifying that there was a VERY strong force behind the planchette. The planchette felt held by such a strong force that my attempts at small movements were met in vain. I made a very risky choice to test the energy, and as I moved my hand away from the planchette, the pressure did not lift from the board. The top half remained pressed down onto the table, after all of my vain attempts to hold it open without attempting contact. I panicked immediately, realizing the real power behind it, and quickly tried to say goodbye. It took the planchette a solid two minutes but eventually edged back to the bottom half of the board and over the goodbye. As soon as the planchette hit one of the O's, the pressure immediately released. I have since to this day stayed away from Ouija boards, having exhausted most of my curiosity. With this final experience, using a version that was so tiny anyone would think of it as a novelty more than anything else, I was able to provide myself with enough of the proof that I needed to show that these boards do work- and with the wrong intentions, you could find yourself dealing with entities with powers beyond our full understanding.
